As good voices go, he is average. He is good but not great.

Glad he conquered his nerves in the audition and got the great accolades, but unless it was just the wrong song for him I think he is done.

Reminds me of the autistic young man last year who got to play in the last game of his senior year and scored 20 points in 6 minute. His career total will probably be 20 points and I think the same is true for Jamie, he needs to hold on to the feeling of the audition.

The competition of semi-final to the final is always the toughest moment.

It's like if you make one mistake, you could be other here..

I do really like Jamie, he's a very nice and sentient man with a good voice. But personally I think the song is the fatal factor, also his nerves, that made him stuck at one position and cannot go forward.. so sad but best wishes to him =]

Considering that he is now considered a con artist as he performed "Les Miserables" on stage then got on the satge and went ... "I'M NERVOUS" he fooled us all .. i mean .. he went on stage .. performed around the country .. and is still out of key

I agree with Simon, the last note was good. But in the middle of the song he got the wrong note one or two times, isn't good for one who wants to get through against susan or shaheen. Maybe with some lessons, voice and how to face the crowd.

Just good luck to Pugh, I enjoyed his voice!

This performance was absolutely cringeworthy. The complete wrong song for him, and if you go onto the sun newspaper website and listen to him sing before this competition it is even worse. I thought the judges were being too polite because it was that bad, i almost put the TV on mute. It is not his nerves that are having an effect on his voice, he simply just hasn't got that great a voice. Just listen to him sing on that website i mentioned.

If you had paid good money for tickets to see that gentleman sing...you would have come away disappointed. He certainly has a fine voice but sadly, through either nerves or lack of control, we can see that the talent is sadly hampered. I hope that with support he may have the opportunity for a rewarding career, but he simply wasn't the best on the night...not the best act and not even the best singer.

I said before in another clip, Simon MUST STOP criticizing Amanda, there's no reason AT ALL. This show was way better than American idol because judges disagreed with respect, if you lose that you will lose the spirit behind it. Piers on the other hand is a complete gentleman only focused on talent and talent alone.
