  • Hi Patrick, U mentioned somewhere that the pulser charge holds better. What type of termination charge voltage do you use for using the cap pulser? 13.8v- 14.5v?

    most of my batteries prefer 14ish

    w/ cap pulser 13.5 seems to do it. I have not completed as many runs using pulser as I have w/ direct radiant.

  • @min2oly Doing test run now. Using a 150uf 400v cap pulser directly from the SSG output. Any advice on the cap size?

    depends on the size of your SSG and it's output. Simple rule of thumb I use is, if it is dumping more than once per second, you need a bigger cap, once every 5 seconds, you need a smaller cap. somewhere in there you will find the dump your battery likes.

    Oh yes, this will also depend on the size of the battery you are charging...if the battery is too big for the dump, you might never find the right size cap.

  • What happens if you short the generator coil briefly enough to prevent current from flowing beyond the reactive curve of the inductance, and recover that to the battery?

    That's the ticket right there. this is a sloppy setup, someone with some brains and some know how should be able to take this put it on the store shelf and lets get on with actual living already :-)

    there is so much more that can be balanced and optimized so much more that I do not even mention right in plain view...

    The answer is: Nice spikes with low drag, I recently made a generator. It stops immediate if you short it because its has nice high coupling, but simply using a reed switch it does it with low drag. New video coming before new years!
