Along with the west indian era, gone was the era of genuine fast bowlers. Today Steyn seems to be the only 140+ km/hr bowler taking wickets. T20 has really screwed up the art of fast bowling.... The Cricket World needs a new Ambrose or Lilee who can terrorize batsman
hey youtubers i am asking a very serious question this is not a fake r game so please only serious people reply ok i am looking for anyone who would happen to have a old vid r aud of the late great slyvester clarke westindies fast bowler please i am trying to find this for my kids to hear r see they uncle in action please help email it to ann2yevtte@yahoo thnakyou so much
such a shame west indies cricket has fallen so badly .....i for one would love to see the windies come back as a force like the 70s & 80s....those were great times
Miss the great WI fast bowlers of the past. The 80's and 90's (dont know much about before that) had great fast bowlers. Now not only are the bowlers not that good, there is little hope due to the fact that cricket's been made more a batsman's game. Hope we see more even contests b/w bat and ball!!
actually there are a some good bowlers around like steyn and gul (and malinga's interesting too), but what i mean is that we don't see enough of toe crushing yorkers or nasty bouncers.
@silvershadowm88 - The pitches today don't allow a lot of it. They're all too dry and flat and set up for Twenty20/One day cricket. Leave some grass on the pitch on day 1; nice and green and make the batsmen earn runs. I'm sick of seeing 3/320 at stumps on day 1. A good score against good bowling used to be 5/260.
@Catatofish Agree wid u. And T20 creates this new set of batsman who technically suck but become heroes overnight. Players like Yusuf Pathan, Warner haven faced genuine fast paced attacks
As a kid, I vividly remember watching these guys detroy my Indian team in mid to late 80's. I guess they were mad that they lost in 83 WC finals. But, these dudes were scary!
kickapakibutt, I have the same sorts of memories. I got Joel Garner's autograph at the Gabba around 83- it was like seeing an alien. He was gracious and generous to the kids who'd been hanging around the fence while he fielded on the boundary. Made my day.
@kickapakibutt anybody can destroy..i remember pakistani fast bowlers destroying india...too bad indian veggie fuckers couldn't produce a genuine fast bowler...ha ha
@ednan9 I can answer that question simply by typing one man's name: Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. However, you chose a wrong person to fuck with. Here we go. May be it is because, we Indians do not take drugs like majority of the Porki fast bowlers do. Or may be because we go to universities rather than mardassas. Or may be it is because we do not pray a pedohile prophet. Now go wipe your mullah fucked ass with pages from holy Koran.
These batsmen really look terrible, they make these bowlers look like Curtly Ambrose, these pretender batsmen dont look like first class batsmen, they shouldnt even be playing in test cricket.
West Indies and Pakistan have the best fast bowlers. They used to bowl 6 bouncers in an over if they had to but Australia and the ICC got together and limited the amount of bouncers you can deliver in an over to only 2.
