  • So much better than Gregorian Chant!!! lol I can't believe that the Christians would destroy the ancient Roman musical tradition!

  • So much better than Gregorian Chant!!! lol

  • The chanting gave me chills...

  • never douby rome for no civilization would be the same without rome's virtue, life would be in ruin without the great leadership that rome had.....

  • The 2nd part sounds Native American...

  • heyyyyy...MAMBO ROMANOOOOO...LOL

  • I love the song and the Roman Numerals are a nice touch.

  • @anatoliduhanin

Yes, I will try to upload Svetlinen on YouTube today.

  • @anatoliduhanin

  • @anatoliduhanin

Русский? Я тоже :D. Ти откуда? Я сечас живу в США, в Флориде.

Кстати, насчет древней русской музыки, и меня есть мызыка одной группы - Светлинен. Это церковная мызыка, но тем ни менее очень интересная.

You are correct about the similarities. That group I mentioned, Svetlinen, has a song which sounds very similar to the first one. Our Orthodox music was originally derived from the Byzantine church hymns. Byzantines were a synthesis of Greece and Rome. Make the connection ;-)

  • @generalpatton3

It sounds eerily similar to croatian folk music too. I'm pretty sure it's because very similar if not the same instruments are used. The rythm is also the same. Thanks for uploading. Pozdrav.

  • @generalpatton3 Did the government eventually become "The Holy Roman Empire" and then eventually Germany?

  • @PerfectExceeeder the Holy Roman Empire was neither Holy, nor Roman, nor an Empire, and had very little to do with ancient Rome. Look it up.

  • @23danimal I do believe that the Holy Roman Empire was a unification of germanic states thought to be an extension of the empire of Rome, though not actually holding the original territory. It eventually became to be known as the Holy Roman Empire of Germany or something around that. Charlemagne was regarded to be the first emperor of these states.

  • Very erotic tones indeed.

  • @Bunzypoo

The second song? Maybe, I am not sure myself, and I am no expert in music nor sex, lacking interest in both. I do however love history with a passion, majoring in history, and so I listen to these groups.

Anyhow, I always thought the first song on Synaulia V was the 'worst offender' in the sense you speak of - is it just me or is there an orgy with women climaxing in the midst of the recording?
