  • very nice

  • DAFUC?

  • @RobbVonZeppelin Yeah... It has a certain quality to it. I can't put a name on it. Perhaps you could assist me?

  • NOISE

  • sounds like me playing with tetris.

  • Oh look it's Star Wars...

  • 0:19 dubstep

  • An Asian could play this. With one hand.

  • the glissandi could be played with a creative rolling mechanism though. i find the ending just awesome.

  • crist they dont know what they doing forgive them

  • my god :D :D super

  • Not sure if troll, or just untalented.

  • The next Circus Gallop?

  • I used to be able to play this, then I took an arrow in the knee

  • @sirshitsalot007 ....god damn that joke. how did skyrim end up over here on a piano gliss video??

  • @ddrma1 An ironic comment, actually, as I recently uploaded a Skyrim video ;)

  • And...back to Chopin...

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHA

  • Omg! Are we in Iraq? lol

  • @111111d8 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • This sounds like the video games I play with my cousins! lol

  • AHahahahaha the box cross trill thing at the end ahahahahah

  • At 0:17 I was like :

    WHERE IS MY AK47 ?!!!

  • Impressive! Now make another video clip where you play this on a piano with your own ten fingers. Is it possible for a person to play?

  • LOVE this

  • M16!

  • holy crap dude... they're not even glissando markings you have there, they're trills...

  • I'd like to see Lang Lang play this

  • Best interpretation

  • why so much dislikes?

  • I think that this video fits better in the category "Comedy" or "Funny" !!!!

  • pfff so easy...

  • Lol, just use gloves and you'll be fine.........

  • You should check out Conlon Nancarrow, if you haven't already done so. He was one of the first ones to write music for player pianos. I listened to some of your other stuff. For your age your are quite talented, but be careful with using the MIDI playback when composing. Rely on your imagination and inner ear and your own piano skills. MIDI playback is highly unmusical and could destroy your ability to develope necessary musical skills... cheers

  • @spacechild2 Don't worry, I've long abandoned MIDI techniques and now compose merely from my sole imagination (see my Prelude in A Major). And yes, I've heard of Nancarrow, I've even got one of his player piano studies on my channel! ;)

  • A I --machine starts to play music

  • Witch program did you use? Greeting from The Nederlenths :)

  • Stockhausen at his finest...

  • you could probably kill a player piano with this piece.

  • Looks like tachycardia! Quickly! Get to the closest hospital ER!

  • suicide lol

  • What's the concept here?

  • ummmmm ok.......

  • this is an insult to music but still better than rap

  • sounds like someone shooting with a laser gun...

  • It's so beautiful I almost burst into tears.

  • SHEET MUSIC FOR A GAME OF GALAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is this even possible to play?

  • I put it on, and than a second later i thought someone was shooting on my window

  • Also, this piece sounds like crap. :D

  • The conversation about music and technology is ridiculous to me. The piano IS technology, you know. There are songs people write for piano that could never be played by using your various body parts or twigs from the ground. Does this mean the piano "lacks emotion" or isn't "natural music"?

New instruments and elements of music are pioneered all the time. Just because they don't have the history others have doesn't mean they don't have the potential to be just as rewarding and fulfilling.

  • do you tourture Finale or Sibilius ..??. Sounds nice^^ MHH In Orchestra Version

  • whats up with all these chuck norris comments on all the insane piano pieces

  • my fingers will bleed

  • I don't know why people are so mad, I was laughing my ass off.

  • That dun even sound like a piano lol. Sounds like some pacman machine lol

  • Chuck norris can play that with a toe!

  • ROFLMAO. After hearing this, I couldn't stop laughing for like 5 min straight. Some parts seriously look like a roller coast ride.

  • Lol, is it right that I cried laughing to this? I mean come on...

  • Requiem for a warranty

  • LMAO

  • it reminds me of packman and some shooting game.

  • 0:29 the random...thingy's. Burst out laughing. This is atrocious, and, therefore, incredible.

  • can you play this sheet?

i dun think so ,not useful. down

  • @PRAPHANUS I'm sorry, I'm usually a nice person, but do you really think that just because something is not playable means that it's not useful? When you are watching a film and hear music, how do you know that a computer is not playing the music instead of a real person? Does this mean that that music is not useful? Just because it can't be played by real people? Computers are becoming the new performers, and if you haven't got that by now, then that's bad.

  • @tomekkobialka

It's impossible to give a computer emotion, though. That's one advantage real people have. The human mind will always be the best performer.

  • @Ragtime44Films Yes, very true, but at the end of the day, only computers can play really fast glissandi.

  • @tomekkobialka

...Even though it sounds completely terrible.

  • @tomekkobialka lol they are getting close to having emotion though.

  • @Ragtime44Films But we can give the computer instructions so that the music is played in a way that a human percives emotions.

  • @semicroma

It still would be nothing like someone actually playing piano. And why would you even do that? There are billions and billions of people who want to become professional musicians. You would just be ruining their lives.

  • @Ragtime44Films To perform music that a human can not play. People probably want to see humans perform music even if machines could to the same. Remember that we have cd,s for music that are played instead of living musicans. We have programed synths in songs instead of a person playing. But I think there still is plenty of musicans.

  • @semicroma

Yeah, but admit it. It would be very difficult to program a computer to play with the perfect amount of emotion a human would.

Synth and things like that are okay, but stuff like Beethoven and other Classical music is supposed to be played by a person.

That, and real pianos sound way better than a computer.

  • @Ragtime44Films I agree that Beethoven for example should not be played by a computer.

  • @semicroma

Right, I forgot to clarify that's what I meant before. Sorry.

  • @Ragtime44Films

    1) This "experiment piece" isn't about emotion.

    2) Emotion is how our brain reacts to sound. Sound is a bunch of airwaves. It may be reproduced by a computer.

  • @twooffour It is about emotions... you know why? Because I laugh myself to death listening to this.

  • @twooffour

1: I know. you don't need to explain this to me.

2: Once again, I know. But wouldn't you agree that a real person playing it sounds better than a computer ever could?

  • @Ragtime44Films

It depends. So far, I agree, I've never heard a MIDI performance matching a human one in realism and emotion - that is, a computer-generated MIDI performance, not counting in real people playing on MIDI keyboards.

Having that said, certain kind of music, like Ligeti's Vertige, the Circus Galop, and stuff like tomekko's experiment pieces, does kinda benefit from the "mechanical" sound inherent in artificial piano rolls and MIDI files.

    It's a bit uncanny, a bit nightmarish...

  • @Ragtime44Films

... a bit unnatural, and sometimes humorous in a specific manner: Circus Galop is a very "camp" piece, so the "cheap" way it sounds on MIDI etc. seems to work in favor of it.

If it comes to Romantic stuff, no, humans have been better so far, as far as I can think.

  • @twooffour

Oh, yeah, stuff like Circus Gallop is good played by computers or player pianos.

  • @tomekkobialka man i got to say, ok, computers are becoming performers and all (i'm not really into eletroacoustic music) and for that we have years and years of research in sythesis, filtering, modulating and wharever you want to make intresting and diferent timbres. When you post a piece named for piano, executed by a computer simulating a piano and presenting a piano written score absolutly impossible to execute on the piano you don't sound modern, you sound amateur.

  • @andrepilla PLAYER piano ;)

  • @PRAPHANUS i can play it dude...

  • This is obviously not musical at all.

  • tomekkobialka cannot play it ,i cannot play it, nobody can play it except the computer ,MIDI,and a player piano.

  • @danielklee92 and hamelin and cziffra jk

  • circus galop is the prelude for this piece

  • I'm beginning to think you doodled on a page and called it music...

  • This is one of the piano exercises that Chuck Norris used to play as a beginner.

  • Of course a pianist could play this( especially the laser sounds)

  • this makes me laugh...

  • waka waka waka waka waka waka

    (pacman)

  • this might be impossible but it sounds pretty sweet

  • Are the notes having sex with each other or something? Because the notes are fucked up

  • Do glissandos really sound like this?

  • It looks like a rollercoaster

  • each day i get more convinced i can find weird things on youtube

  • im going to learn this.

  • sounds like my ex wife

  • sounds like extratone. I don't know if a pianist could play it, but the midi sound is interesting enough on its own.

  • @bassoonistfromhell Hmmm...I don't know if a pianist could play this either...

    (sarcasm)

  • @tomekkobialka is it possible? I don't know, i'm a bassoonist.

  • @bassoonistfromhell sorry about my sarky comment, but this is definitely not possible. if you want to see for yourself, put your middle finger on the bottom key and then see if you can slide it all the way to the top key in less than a quarter of a second...

  • @tomekkobialka I tried, but now my finger is a bloody stump. Is that expected?

  • @tomekkobialka as a pianist, i dont see why a pianst WOULD play this. lol

  • unbelievable, wonderful performance!!!!! like!

  • The glissandos sound like lasers....

  • at 0:06 it sounded a bit like the beginning of 'waking up in vegas'

  • ahhhh yes. This was my mothers favorite piece to hear played--I did it at her funeral.

  • these are chuck norris's warm-up exercises

  • What's that???? Sounds like a gun lol

  • holy crap.

  • Haa. Puff.. Just Liszt Cant Playt thats im So Sure.!!

  • Why did you post the lh version of this piece and not the full etude?

  • you broke it lol

  • lol laser pew pew, midi gliss's sound like a synthesizer a bit lol.

  • i can ear a wrong note in bar 9! ha ha

  • what is this i don't even

  • what the **** is this s**t??

  • WTF 0:57 :P:P:P:P the last line....epic :P

  • Wow! Very good. Reminds me Conlon Nancarrow's early studies but... in MIDI.

  • Midi Sucks!

  • @MrJazzeman You don't even know what midi is.

  • @DarkZekeX I have a degree in applied science for audio engineering. I do use and know midi very well. I just prefer analog recording over midi, that's my thing. I wasn't knockin your deal here... I thought it was rather quite interesting. Midi just isn't quite there yet.

  • For a second I thought people were shoot lazer guns or something.

  • My hears!!!!!!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA god this is hilarious. Brilliant work pointing out crappy MIDI gliss. It has ruined many a MIDI recordings of my own.

  • If Tom Morello ever got ahold of a piano, it would sound like this.

  • :'-( the poor piano!

  • jajajaja es genial !!!!!!!!

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT !!!!!!!!!

  • LMFAO

  • *finishes* "Curses, where have my hands gone?"

  • I'm gonna learn how to play this and put it on youtube and all of you are gonna be super jealous of my skill

  • i feel like Charizard is using flamethrower into my ears. and hyper beam. and any other form of distruction to my ears

  • ARM LASER CANNONS.

  • As a physicist [and pianist] I must say that the score in places resembles Feynman Diagrams, which we use to calculate elementary particle interactions in the field of Particle Physics. It could be retitled, 'When a Quark Meets a Gluon". Liszt would have loved it. And played it beautifully.

  • As a pianist, this is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. The ending is absolutely priceless. I'm going to go watch it a few more times while I crack up some more :D

  • Very random and horrible.

  • i like the awkward rests

its the only time when it sounds like an actual piece...

  • @dubblebubble898 The rests are there to give a chance for the player piano to cool down, just in case it overheats.

  • @tomekkobialka I have to thank you for making all six pieces. you have no idea how much mic spamming I do with this one and the third piece... It's a TF2 griefing troll's dream come true.

  • @tomekkobialka

And it gives time for the fire crew and paramedics to clean up the bloody firey mess.

  • @tomekkobialka your an idiot for making this. go kill yourself

  • @tomekkobialka I'm pretty sure a liquid-cooled player piano is required for a piece like this. Probably mil-spec too.

  • what the fuck is this lol

  • mejor que beethoven y rachmaninof

  • ITS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

  • It's like when Antheil, Nancarrow and Hamelin looked at the pianola and saw its musical capabilities beyond human technical ability. This is just another step in that direction.

  • this is easy stuff :O I learned this piece at my first piano lesson :P NOT

  • my favorites are the unfathomable criss-cross glissandi starting at page 4 lolololol

  • something tells me that no regular human being can play that on piano (or any other instrument)...

  • oh my god I died

  • it is played by compueter

  • I ACTUALLY LOL'D AT 0:18

  • sounds like an arcade

  • If you'd play this on a real piano(what's not possible) I guess I'd kill you because I'd think you are raping the piano :D

  • THIS IS AWESOME.

  • これはグラフですか?

  • And what conclusions did you arrive at with this experiment?

  • @musicguy119 That most people hate MIDI glissandos
