@lmsjr Thanks for the great videos. I was tooling around with some pedals at our store running through a Peavey JSX clean channel. I found the distortions were best in front and the modulations were best through the loop (IMHO). I've used that configuration with my bass rig for years.

Hey Tone King, you can play others music provided that you don't advertise it. ProGuitar Shop do covers all the time and never got sued. You just need to know how to do it :-)

You should be able to play copyrighted stuff. Fair use should allow covers since youtube is full of them. You just can't use them in your videos like backing tracks etc.

I just got one for christmas yesterday and it was the chorus it sounds amazing they are definantly more expensive than boss mine was 250 i figured i would tell you about them. GR8 demo there TK. Always liked the BOSS chorus. I had a CE2, I sold it to fund my new gear, + it didnt seem to like the FX loop too much of my Bugera. I got a GFS Pro Chorus Classic.

Its pretty good. Similar to the Boss, with more rate variability.

Only if you wind it up too high it gets a bit hissy and trebly. But set moderately its really nice.

Now IS the JC Shockwave SS or tube driven? It sounds gr8! 1 of the BETTER sounding dist pedals I've heard you play.

Nice.. I can totally relate with you on what you said about growing up back in the day. I'm a little older than you. I had learn everything about guitar by saving $ and buying guitar magazines, learning from the tablature in them and just jamming along with the radio. Good ol' days tho. :)

@xom400 Good question ... depends I guess. Sometimes at low volumes (practice, etc.) distortion pedal sound really good, whereas low volume tube amps sound so so. But, at higher volumes, or when jamming w/ a band - nothing sounds as crips as a tube amp. However, in both cases - an overdrive pedal fits in perfectly - at low volumes giving you a bit of boost, or at higher volumes, giving you that chug / harmonic magic :-) . so depends on the playing, the volume, and the pedal. @Den1sVengeance I got the Polytune for Christmas and it is very easy to use. I totally recommend it. I feel that it is a lot faster than regular tuners and it is a lot more accurate. : )

Merry Christmas TK! Im getting a sligtly used amp on the first. Do you remember the old Crate solid state MX series? Well Im getting the MX120R, Ive herd from the reviews its one of the "better" trans. amps out there. for 100 bucks im not complaining, less that 1 dollar a watt! lol

Merry Xmass 2 u 2! I really have to thank you TK. You've been a big help to me. I recently was in dire need of a tone improvement and couldn't afford and didn't want the new amp. W/ your help I was able to chose one of the new distortion pedals that sound like a good tube amp. Now I have a great Marshal like tone and I get to keep the beautiful clean channel of my solid state Fender amp. I still get teased a lot for playing rock w/ a solid state so thanks for the ''no rules'' mention too.

AWESOME recording quiality! The shockwave distortion sounds better that in the demo vid for it.

Why aren't the Chorus and Flanger pedals in the loop? They sounded tone-consuming to me? I would rather have them sound more subtle.

@Den1sVengeance Thank you Dens! I didn't put them in the loop, for simplicity. Wanted to show 'pedal board' functionality (how you can run all 3 pedals into a clean amp, then use a distortion pedal to turn on/off the gain/lead channel). Could have done the same with the pedals in the loop, but afterall, it's '30 Pedals in 30 Days' :-).
