Crap! This is hell. I remember this story. I had friends living on the other side of town who fortunately weren't hurt. WTH is wrong with the cops and 911 dispatcher?? They gave terrible advice. "Get out of your house??" The gas leak was outside, for heaven's sake!!

"Get in the shower"??? What horrible advice! Did you get your diploma from a friggin' cracker jack box? That makes hydochloric acid, which is extremely corrosive!! HELLO!!

In one clip he says he can't get through the field because he doesn't have 4x4 truck, but later he claims he folded up his SUV like a beer can when he rammed the gate.

Was his Suburban from the 50s or something?

He mentioned he backed into the gate to keep from setting off the airbags. Therefore it was a 90's or newer model car. I'd also extrapolate that it used crumple zones for a safety feature. Chances are if he had a much older one that was actually steel he might have made it through the gate. Also, not all modern SUVs are 4 wheel drive. Even if it was, I've seen 4x4s and some heavy tractors get stuck in heavy, clay-filled mud before.
