I liked Tom Daschle and I originally thought he was a good choice to head HHS and I was dissapointed when he withdrew. However now I'm dissapointed at him for his position. He may as well become a Republican and he can take Ben Nelson with him as well since he opposed Obama's plan before he even had the chance to present it.

Every single concession that takes money out of the rich and powerful's pockets has had to be earned with blood, sweat and tears. The reason it's not happened is because the majority of people are too busy, comfortable or distracted to come together to force the issue. They don't want you to have the same health care as Congress because Congress has a public plan option and premium coverage on private plans. Insurance companies don't dare deny coverage on a senator and since the taxpayers foot the bill, they don't worry about how much the premiums cost.
