The sad thing about women in rock music is that after children/husbands/menopause/other feminine life-changing experiences, they put the away the rock and roll, pick up the acoustic guitar and start writing songs about how beautiful their kids are or how in love they are and how perfect life is. Sadly even if the "real" Veruca Salt reformed, it would never be the same. The angst is gone. They're too old now.
They're both hot, their stage presence together is intense, and it's a shame that their friendship will never recover . . . but I hope it does. Rock-n-roll needs more bad-ass guitar playin' not afraid of nothin' in your face girls like Nina & Louise.
One of their stellar moments... I love this song. But Veruca Salt isnt Veruca Salt without Nina.. and, Hole isnt Hole without Eric Erlandson, and neither is Smashing Pumpkins well, SP without IHA. Thats what alot of these great reunited talents of our generation keep forgetting.. THEY BREAK THE FORMULA.. atleast they shouldnt calll themselves their old names if theyre not well.. them.
Nina is pretty but Louise has heart and her guitar chops pwn Nina's. I mean, nothing against Nina, without her the band definetly lost something special, but i know if Louise had left there would be no way Nina could have carried the band.
i agree the band lost something. Nina and Louise's voices not only complimented eachother irreplacably but also their songwriting and stage prescence. They are both pretty damn gorgeous :) ... still hoping for a reunion some day.

Saw them live in Phoenix on the 8 arms to hold you tour. Louise had the flu but she still brought the house down.

nina WAS awesome. her downturn in song quality over the 2000s is definitely sadder than the fact that veruca salt broke up.
