@kjmartin2000 I've heard of alot of people using Flash, After effects, but I haven't used these yet. I've been using toonboom. If what I've heard is true it's the same software that alot of tv shows, such as family guy use. Don't quote me though. They have some trial versions on there website. And AWESOME tutorials. Check out Chluaid's channel. You'll love his Dashkin animations and walkthroughs. Can do whatever you want, rig some puppets, frame by frame, rotoscope, etc. And the price is worthit

I'm a noob too. Only been animating for about 1 1/2 months, but the toonboom software and tutorials get you going quick. Can't be sure if it is the "BEST" software, but it's definitely AAWWEEESOOOOOMEEEE!!!!

Traditional Animation is best! It might be VERY expensive and a little slow. But the results is usualy better then Computer animation.

In these kinds of animations do u rub out anything u want to move and then redraw that 1 thing for the next slide, or draw lodes of drawings and copy the detail and draw the moving thing in another position. If you do the 1st one A) how do you make it so there are no faded rub out lines and B) how do u not accidentally rub out some of the detail?
