She rushes through the movements and it looks a little sloppy. They all need to watch the Marlinsky Theater version that is her on YouTube.

being a ballet dancer must be so difficult because of all the time and effort required to gain that level of skill...but I bet it's all worth it for moments like this. Also, I'd have loved to have seen the real show, when it all pulled together. ah, the ballet.

This is the job of the teacher to get them as perfect as possible, that is why she is talking to them and this is normal practice, without her technical input and advice how on earth do you think the dancers learn their roles ? Ballet takes years of practice and teaching to get perfect results , they dont just turn up perfect on the night !!

The dance is nice se does look like she needs more practice but then again she is just 15 and that's pretty good to be 15. I liked how my middle school teacher choreographed our arabian dance. I wish she would of let us be on pointe because it looks better. Those costumes are so much cuter though!
Did you mean the teacher needed to be quiet? I did not hear any remarks about a child's, stomach. But I did not see anything that needed to be criticized. I thought all the dancers danced well. Especially the lead dancer. I really liked the costume, music, choreography and the dancer. Someone said she is 15. If she is 15 she is amazing. It would have been nice if the video recorder could have been further away so we did not have to hear the corrections.
@merlin711oregon seems like dress rehearsal, but she really needs to STHU about the child's stomach...I hate to stereotype, but I trained for 17 years & never had a teacher that was in good shape ;-) ♥
I like this version! Very good :) it's one of the faster versions I've seen of the Arabian dance. I remember every year when I was little, me and my mom would go to the nutcracker, and the arabian dance was sooo slow, and I always got bored hahaha! I didn't have a long attention span as a kid :)
@nycitygirl100 the arabian dance is supposed to be sensual. this dancer does a beautiful job with this. check out some other arabian performances on youtube to get a better idea.
@nycitygirl100 It's suppose to be more sensual then the american version of the nutcraker. Most Arabian dances are similar. I think you need to be more open to different cultures because you can offend a little of people with yours comments.
I agree it was pretty good.....if you could get the instructer to be quiet. im in the nutcracker and im an arabian, ours is pretty good too... it is a different version of course.
