  • It looks like they aimed for a vintage rustic look for the CBG...

Is that cigar box the same maker as the one in this vid: watch?v=sqLc5zjp-po

  • @RascalKyng Yes, if you go to Jay's site, (tinyguitars, see my video for url) he has more information about this exact CBG. I was not able to find the video you asked about. Is it on Youtube? What is the video's title? Thank you for your interest and question. Enjoy.

  • @KeniLeeBurgess

Oh no Keni, youtube does NOT allow you to put full URLs into comments... I put " watch?v=sqLc5zjp-po " as sort of a cheat. If you read other vlogs you'll see what I mean. But " watch?v=sqLc5zjp-po " is PART of the url to one of your videos... you simply have to add the entire youtube(dot)com/ part...

  • @RascalKyng Thank you for explaining about the url. The fretless CBG was built by Jay from tinyguitars and the 4 string resonator CBG was built by Jim from cigarcitycbgs. They are both very good CBG builders. There is also my friend Darren from backporchmojo who built this 4 string CBG that I am using in this video lesson. watch?v=KLGnnF-TIbY&feature=channel_video_title

  • Wow Keni Lee that was epic. The acoustics in ur hallway r sure sweet.Yeh its a shame that so many people should b incarcirated in the world,im feeling the pathos too.

  • @ZEDZOR2 Thank you for your comment. Ya, in addition to be a guitar player, singer and performer, I also need to be a recording enginneer, cameraman, and film director too. LOL Finding a good studio in your home really helps the process. I am going to be testing a new camera soon that has better video resolution and sound. Enjoy.

  • @KeniLeeBurgess Sounds cool, theres nothing like new tech.Yeh filming is so much fun especially when u do everything on ur own.Even in media now its all single camera shots for realism.Maybe u could do some more location stuff, some of that stuff was atmospheric.I always especially enjoy ur busking stuff.tc sir.

  • @ZEDZOR2 Thank you for your comment. Well, we are working on releasing the documentary about me that was shot in 2008. This contains a lot of busking footage. Enjoy.

  • @KeniLeeBurgess Yeh i was wondering about marshmallow and the documentry, would be good to see,i always enjoy documentarys, preferable to most fiction anyday.Patiently waiting.

  • @ZEDZOR2 It is in the works. It is a matter first of licensing the cover songs. Then we have to deicide on production method and distribution. We had many set backs during production, but I am hoping things work out a little smoother now. Stay tuned. Enjoy.

  • Thanks for sharin It, Keni. A real song of the bitter truth. (Another One) ! ! !

  • @The007BLUESMAN My pleasure, my friend. Thank you for your comment. Enjoy.

  • @MrRandomWritings Thank you for your comment. Enjoy

  • Keni, what kind of slide is that you have on in this video? I'm making a cigar box guitar with my son for a class project, and I'm going to teach him a little slide guitar. I want to give him an authentic experience...

  • @LoveMyPadres Thank you for your interest and question. The slide used in this video is made out of a beef bone. They are made by Randy (MojoBone Works) from cigarboxnation. Traditionally, many items that were commonly available were used as a slide: glass bottleneck, metal pipe, bone slide, pocket knife, socket from a wrench, lipstick tube, etc. Enjoy your project.

  • Real nice

  • @keithalan10 Thank you for your comment. Enjoy.

  • Keni Lee, this is the style that we don't see anymore. Your playing and singing remind me of what the old black men, used to sing in the churches and bars of my youth. Growing up in the south I met many a man, that spent time in the prison system of the old south. They were glad to share their experiences and love of music just like you.

  • @journeyer58 Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to meet any of the original old Masters. The late John Cephes was the closest one I had the chance to take lessons from. Fortunately, many of my teachers studied with them. When I play and sing, I think about my Grandfather who during the 1930s worked in coal mines and rubber factories to support a family during the Great Depression. They were real men. Strong and proud.

  • Great performance, and great pics to go with it.

  • @BaronK69 Thank you for your comment. Enjoy.

  • Love it thanks for sharing

  • @talc89a Thank you for your interest. Enjoy.
