It was a great movie for being fan made! It was extremely decent. I felt it dragged just a tad around the fireside chat with Winston, but that really didn't affect my outlook on the movie as a whole. The movie was only an hour long and definitely worth the watch. I definitely enjoyed Anna much more than Angelina (no offense to the first movies). I just feel that Anna matches Tomb Raider more in my mind than Angelina. Great job; I hope to hear about a sequel sometime!
As a Tomb Raider fan since the first game, it looks pretty good & hope one day to see the fan film in its entirety. I tried searching online but to no avail. Hopefully one day this would be up for sale to add to my TR collection.

This is an excellent film, despite being "low-budget".

All I can say after watching it is "Wow." Sure there aren't any big budget special effects, but it had me glued to the screen from start to finish. This movie is 100x better than the two "official" films, which didn't hold my interest at all...
Here's to hoping we'll see a sequel to Ascension someday. Great job, Aquila and Mr. Reynolds.

Good Fan Film and a lot better than Street Fighter: The Legend of ChunLi, which was made by Hollywood execs that had no idea what Street Fighter was about.
I really liked it, congrats to the whole team. In most parts it felt much more true to the games than the Hollywood versions. The whole cast did surprisingly well. I actually prefer Annas version of Lara over Angelinas, for being more "human", less superhero, but still kicking ass where it fits.
Costumes are imo better than anything Eidos ever brought up for their booth babes.
Editing on the fight scenes was bad though.
I`d like to see follow up episodes, like a "Young Lara" mini-series =)

Anna, let me congratulate you on a job well done. You don't need to be Angelina - you are a very beautiful lady. All the actors were very impressive and the dialogue was natural. I knew this was a fan film and was surprised at how well made it turned out to be. It was like watching something on BBC. I enjoyed it and I like that music when you(Lara) was sliding down the rope. Thanks to all involved for entertaining me. Hopefully you make more movies in the future.
This film is ten times better than the two Hollywood adaptions. It has better acting, better directing, a better plot, and a better lead. It proves you don't need a big budget to make a satisfying action flick.
As a moviegoer i think it looks like crap, perhaps ther ecould have been some camerafilters to make it look less like it was made on a regular DV-cam.
but as a moviemaker I am really impressed by this! I know how hard it is to make an idea alive and actually be descent in the end. For a low budget movie it's really really good. With some more money this could have been awesome, like some improvements on battlechoreography and colorfilters, just details like that. GREAT JOB!

I think as a Fan flick, much like the Gollum one for LOTR, this is great. People are very judgement these days with the advent of instant messaging and the need to vomit their emotional diarrhea. A fanfilm made in 7 days, on less than £20000 pounds- in multiple locations, which has had over 60000 views in full length without any advertising, which has also inspired the direction of other Lara projects! I like that kind of failure then!

It is no longer available in full on our site, so apologies! we see that it somehow has made it on to the torrent sites where it is being downloaded by 30000+ people at the moment!

Is it for you to decide? You may not agree with Angelina "being" Lara Croft, but, as I said earlier, to many she is, and these people have a right to state that they wish to see her resume the role.

Yes, of course I do! Never, ever did I defend the rudeness of complaining and moaning about her not being in a fanfilm. However, I did not respond to that, but to your stating that Angelina is NOT Lara Croft, when she indeed has become quite synonymous with the name to many, many people.

Okay :) Well thats all I had a problem with.
Even though Angelina has brought alot to Lara's name, I still do not believe she should be labeled as Lara. The character has been around scince before Angelina played her, and has been played by numerous models also.

but this is a fan film, so it is awesome in its own way...just think as a fan movie, NOT as a Tomb Raider Official movie =]]
I think she did a pretty job, she may not have the looks like the Lara croft from of the GAME or Angelina Jolie from the movie, but she is nice and cool Lara in her own way...
All the girls feel like Lara in someway, all the girls have the, GIRL POWER, so anyone is a lara croft in their own way,
but its my thoughts,

Just watched the movie, ok so it's not a big budget film, and it does tells you that but damn, she can act, and by that i dont mean she knows how to flash her boobs everywhere, she has great facial expressions and i think it does great credit to the game

Ok, the girl is by far not good looking enough to be lara croft, but for being fan made, this movie is really good, the story is better than the one with jolie in it. If only it was made with a bigger budget it be freaking brilliant! And also, the actors voices are alot simillar to the voices in the games.

I think you guys did an awesome job! I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did~ and the action scene at the end was awesome! Especially the backflips and stuff. :) It's amazing how much you can do with such a little budget! I actually enjoyed this movie as much as I enjoyed the "Official Movie" and that one had a 115 million dollar budget. XD

It was never trying to rival the big films nor was I tryin 2 b like the stunning Angelina...We were just making a fanfilm. No need 4 people 2 b so rude. So positive comments are always welcome.

wasnt tryin to be mean wen i saw it i thought it was the latest installment to the series i just got a big shock coz i wasnt expecting that so il watch it again in the spirit of a fan film, but in futre maybe you could make tht apparent tht this is not part of the series because its like buyin a rolls royce with a skoda motor u can imagine the disappointment.

Anna, let me congratulate you on a job well done. You don't need to be Angelina - you are a very beautiful lady. All the actors were very impressive and the dialogue was natural. I knew this was a fan film and was surprised at how well made it turned out to be. It was like watching something on BBC. I enjoyed it and I like that music when you(Lara) was sliding down the rope. Thanks to all involved for entertaining me. Hopefully you make more movies in the future.

This film is ten times better than the two Hollywood adaptions. It has better acting, better directing, a better plot, and a better lead. It proves you don't need a big budget to make a satisfying action flick.

As a moviegoer i think it looks like crap, perhaps ther ecould have been some camerafilters to make it look less like it was made on a regular DV-cam.
but as a moviemaker I am really impressed by this! I know how hard it is to make an idea alive and actually be descent in the end. For a low budget movie it's really really good. With some more money this could have been awesome, like some improvements on battlechoreography and colorfilters, just details like that. GREAT JOB!

I think as a Fan flick, much like the Gollum one for LOTR, this is great. People are very judgement these days with the advent of instant messaging and the need to vomit their emotional diarrhea. People "tweet" all the time about the littlest of brain farts. I thoroughly enjoy a fan flick and admire all the hard work that goes into it.

I think people need to realize that this a FANFIC, not a studio-produced release, not a sequel or prequel, nothing official, it is something people who liked the Tomb Raider franchise and decided to make a FAN FICTION.
I have no idea how people can't use their brains to figure that part out.

A fanfilm made in 7 days, on less than £20000 pounds- in multiple locations, which has had over 60000 views in full length without any advertising, which has also inspired the direction of other Lara projects! I like that kind of failure then!

unfortunately the renewed interest in our little fanfilm has crashed our godaddy server today with over 9000 views in a few hours of the actual film! we have had to take it down as our main business site was in jeopardy too! It is no longer available in full on our site, so apologies! we see that it somehow has made it on to the torrent sites where it is being downloaded by 30000+ people at the moment!
