How is this "spotlight" feature working? Are the candidates buying it, or is youtube donating it, or what? I don't think energy fits in neatly as either and immediate issue or a long-term issue. Its both. Romney opposed the development of the CapeWind energy project in Massachusetts, even though the locals and environmental groups overwhelmingly favored it. But now, he says he's in favor of alternative energy.

I think scripting in this context is good. In one of the video responses, someone rambled about for over nine minutes about education when his ideas could have been expressed much more clearly in 30 seconds.

I agree! One of the things I love about James' videos is that he gets right to the point and doesn't waste time! I like coming to see his stuff, because I learn about ALL the candidates and I don't get partisanship and bias, which I can find in all the media and most everyplace else. I come here and put aside my own political beliefs in order to see things from new angles. I hope James always keeps his unique style!
