Just wanted to thank you again for all your help, our costumes were a hit and we won a bunch of prizes. Couldn't have figured it all out without your help! :)
@suz384 I am trying to make a face with one eye that winks. I have a push button SPDT momentary switch. Does the connection go like this: the 2 hair thin outer wires on each of the two EL wires (4 in total) go together onto the middle pole, and the main inner wires onto the outside poles (1 each)? Then two sets of speaker wires with male connectors on the ends: one set to the left and middle poles, the other to the right and middle poles? You did such a great job on yours!! Thanks :)
@studiopeg im not going to try to understand exactly what you said, but it sounds like you are on the right track. On the SPDT you connect either both center wires or both sets of hair wires to the outside poles. The center 'common' of the SPDT will connect one of the power/inverter wires. The remaining EL wires will connect to the remaining power/inverter wire. Can think of it as electric current flowing into common of the switch and out one or other poles and returning to gnd/inverter.
@studiopeg The face is formed with metal clothes hangers and i just scotch taped the wire to it. I drilled two holes in a baseball cap and zip-tied the face to it at the center of the glasses. Very easy to do. Good luck!
@suz384 Thank you so much for replying! Your creativity on mounting that face was pretty darm good. All the other faces I've seen have been mounted on black foamboard, limiting vision. Again, great job :)
@thefantabulousgirl , I used safety pins to attach the wire so it could slide freely, i ordered wire from coolights or something like that, the face is two separate circuits, the power is toggle between the two using a SPDT limit switch, the negatives are common to both circuits.

@studiopeg LOL I took a screen shot of this, zoomed in, and looks like it's on a baseball cap. Sometimes ya just never think of the easiest thing!
