@Lolzorpantz hmm can you link me where it says nagini is a BC? sorry i cant find it anywhere online n srsly she doesn't resemble a bc what so ever.... i thought was a reticulated maybe not but deffs not a bc
@XXADXX97 well i cant really find any good vids of it on youtube since the movie hasnt come out on dvd yet. so uh, either watch the movie or search on harry potter and the deathly hallows 2 snake scene. or w.e
@sonyboy696 Ball pythons rarely need anything bigger than a 40 gallon tank. If they have a lot of space, it stresses them out. They don't need room to wander. A happy ball python is one that is hiding in its hide most of the time (or under a lot of leaves), and then comes out for a short cruise sometimes at night.
Not all bp's are fussy eaters. Mine will eat mice, rats and gerbils. Be careful feeding rats to them because they are alot more fatty than mice so don't feed them very many. Make them wait longer for them. Mice are better for smaller bp's. Nice snakie you have there.
Hey guys I'm planning on getting a snake in the next 2 weeks what size ball python should I get. I have a bearded dragon but never had snakes so I'm new to snakes... Btw nice snake!!!
awesome needs to drop some weight! and dont listen to those haters that tank was big enough as long as you take him out alot shouldnt effect it in any way
hello youtube i need help!! my ball python wont eat. is being 6 month and i tried everything. live, pre killed, frozen and even pour tuna (tuna juice) on a dead mouse. my female ball python responds very well to the tuna trick. but not the male people have told me they don't eat in the winter, but is already spring time here in NY and nothing. the inviroment is 90-100 F and the cool side 80F. the humidity is 60% @ night and their tank is a 75galllon. he likes to go all over the cage at nite.
you need a place where he can curl up and hide. the wall he was curling up near the beginning was clear. thats why he was putting his head under his self. put some plants near both the cool side wall and the warm side wall ( or the side with the basking light and the room temp side)
I'm getting a ball python tomorrow from a private owner. 4 months old, he's selling it to me for 40 bucks and that includes the aquarium, heat rock, heat lamp, water bowl and stick. I think I got a deal as long as he's healthy
@Bearsrules323232 I realize that but thats because they can sell it for that amout... because people who are interested in "normal ball pythons" are stupid... no offence to anyone because normals are awesome but they are not inteligent with pricing and are willing to pay more than necisary... if you take the time and look for mabe a reptile show near you you can find huge females for like 60 bucks and babys for under 20$
@dizzyman195 ok that make more sense beacuse I went o the human society expo when the brought all the dogs from the pound, and I adoped my dog for free with no addtional charge, but still next time acuatlly say that you got it from a expo instead of saying you just got ripped off.
@dizzyman195 nah depends where u are n whatnot stores around here sell them for 80 but there on sell adecent amount for 30 or 40 and theres not many breeders around here
@FUXUPSSHITBRA4569 don't get it from a pet store. i have never seen a healthy snake come from a pet store. find out if there is a reptile sale in your area. i live near cleveland, oh and there is one every month. normals there are $15-$25 as babies and i even get pastels for $60. and those are from trusted breeders. most will take your snake back and give you a new one if you can't get it to eat.
Im sorry but your snake hates that tank! That snake is trying to get out badly... You have to have something she or he likes. Like i just got my corn snake just now,,,, And hes comfortable... Hes just slithering around getting use to the place. i just threw a mouse in there ... if you want pics send me!!
so learn YO facts and also colubrids arent as pretty or can make nearly half as much money as ball pythons can so once again your wrong so keep tellin people to go buy a snake thats long and skinny like a worm as a baby that isnt worth nearly anything.....and it doesnt make sense to say a colubrid is first and baby ball pythons are 3rd so what is 2nd or cant you count either it must run side by side with your snake knowledge
ok a colubrid can get about 9-10 ft so no it is not a great starter snake and they have just as much of a chance of biting as a ball python and ball pythons top out at about 5 ft or so for females and less for males and captive bred doesnt ever bite if your ball python bites you treat it bad or its a wild hatched .....what did you go to a website that numbered the best snakes to buy because you can ask any snake owner or breeder that really knows there shit and ball pythons are the BEST first
ball pythons are the best first snake to get for one they are the tamest snakes and 2 unlike boas and other snakes they dont get large and they are easier to handle all of my boas and ball pythons always eat i had one time in the winter where one of my ball pythons didnt eat for 2-3 months because he was fasting which they normally do in the winter babies can go 6 months with no food and adults can go about a year and a half so learn your facts before you tell people there bad first snakes
i would guess without vet bills the yearly cost would be around 400 dollars max when first buying everything. if you think about it all you have to do is buy the snake $90 and find a cheap 40 gall tank. for maybe $50 then get a hide for $15 or so, then a water dish you can use almost anything for the water dish. Then get a heat lamp $25 or so. and either live or frozen feeders. so there are 52 weeks in the year times about 2 dollars is about $104. So everything would be about
Go to a reptile show or breeder. Normals should sell for $30 and under, and besides petsmart's as wild caught and dont usually feed well. People used to give them hamsters just to get them to eat when I worked at a Petsmart.
Reptile expos are the best places to get your snake from they are cheaper and you get it from the breader notsomebustedass down pet shop. love going to the expos
It depends on who you buy from and what the morph is that you are buying. Any reputable shop or breeder will never sell you a normal for more than $50. But if you start getting into other morphs, the price shoots up considerably.
vet your rarely have to go if you want you can go soon as you get it to get it checked up to be on the safe side, where i am my food is £1.29 each for rat pups you will start on fluffs that are alot cheaper the bigger the mouse/rat the more expensive but you feed once a week so its like less than £5 a month care exactly the same clean like once a month maybe every few months depending on the substrate, there very cheap to take care of the most money is the tank and heating + the snake
get a clay plant pot n cut a hole in the side or buy a hollowed out log or if ur cheap lol use a cardboard box or just give it sum sort of hide out they get stressed if they dont have 1 ang this can affect there feeding
i have a ball python and when i turn tha heat lamp off at night tha temp. gets to like 60! and i have a heat pad....which didnt do shit! so i got a red light for at night time..Its get around 78-79. i have heard that if it has light all tha time that it is bad for tha snake. WILL THA RED LIGHT BE OK FOR NIGHTTIME??
if your really worried get one of those non light heat lamps they send out heat waves or somethin that what i use at night keeps my python warm and no problems yet
4 your question, I wouldnt trust a cat around a snake I have a snake and a cat, my cat is the quietest cat it does nothing how ever I know if the snake got to close to it and wiggled to much to the cat my cat would strike at it, its just in the cats nature to strike and even a small strike from a cats paw could harm a snake. but u will probably find that the cat is freaked out by it and go hind somewhere, mine did for a long time, but dude get a snake they are the coolest pet. Good luck
no thanks, i've got a 2 year old cat that is a total menace, so no doubt he would end up knocking over the snake's cage and then god knows what will happen. and anyway i think feeding live animals to snakes is cruel so i probs wouldn't get a snake anyway even if i didn't have a cat.
Supernaturalfan, wtf is so cruel about snakes eating mice? What tha hell is ma snake supposed 2 eat vegetables? To bad he can't cuz God created them to eat meat not damnn vegetables
i said LIVE mice fs, just drop it everybody has their own oppinion, i had a hamster so you can't expect me to think that feeding LIVE rodents to snakes isnt cruel. If you don't think its cruel then fair enough i can except that, like i said everybody has their own oppinion.
you fuck you know shit, an ocelot (its a type of cat) eats baby anacondas, so what makes you think a domesticated cat will not eat a snake? oh ya, pardon me THE FACT YOU ARE A RETARD AND YOUR BRAIN DOESN'T FUNCTION -_-!
they eat mice, they see em move and rip em' to shreds, they chase string... WHAT MAKES YOU FUCKING THINK THEY ANT GONNA FUCK UP A SNAKE?! EH? SMART GUY??? you got something to say? your wrong, I'm right shit Ur fucking mouth
some stores sell them for more ccause there pattern i got my pastel ball python for 200$ and it was way worth the money its beautiful

sdzoo2000 3 years ago
for a ball python?!?!? you only need a 30 gal. for an adult. 100 will stress them out as they wont feel secure with that much space.

if you had a cat and a ball python when it a baby would cat eat it while younot wacthing
lenniesam 3 years ago
don't talk shite, cats don't eat snakes, the snake would probs eat the cat if the snake was big enough.
supernaturalfan2k8 3 years ago
Excuse me my 10 year old Son wrote that comment, and it was a genuine question-there was no need to be such an arse.
lenniesam 3 years ago
oh come on, everybody knows that cats don't eat snakes, snakes have been known to eat cats.
supernaturalfan2k8 3 years ago
and your point is????????as I said my Son wrote it- drop the attitude.
lenniesam 3 years ago
fs i wis only saying, and wit attitude
supernaturalfan2k8 3 years ago
4 your question, I wouldnt trust a cat around a snake I have a snake and a cat, my cat is the quietest cat it does nothing how ever I know if the snake got to close to it and wiggled to much to the cat my cat would strike at it, its just in the cats nature to strike and even a small strike from a cats paw could harm a snake. but u will probably find that the cat is freaked out by it and go hind somewhere, mine did for a long time, but dude get a snake they are the coolest pet. Good luck
chopper001 3 years ago
no thanks, i've got a 2 year old cat that is a total menace, so no doubt he would end up knocking over the snake's cage and then god knows what will happen. and anyway i think feeding live animals to snakes is cruel so i probs wouldn't get a snake anyway even if i didn't have a cat.
supernaturalfan2k8 3 years ago
Supernaturalfan, wtf is so cruel about snakes eating mice? What tha hell is ma snake supposed 2 eat vegetables? To bad he can't cuz God created them to eat meat not damnn vegetables
SlipKnoT4lifeXx 3 years ago 2
i said LIVE mice fs, just drop it everybody has their own oppinion, i had a hamster so you can't expect me to think that feeding LIVE rodents to snakes isnt cruel. If you don't think its cruel then fair enough i can except that, like i said everybody has their own oppinion.
supernaturalfan2k8 3 years ago
I fed all my baby hamsters to a snake as soon as they were born
TrEkKiE2k7 3 years ago
you fuck you know shit, an ocelot (its a type of cat) eats baby anacondas, so what makes you think a domesticated cat will not eat a snake? oh ya, pardon me THE FACT YOU ARE A RETARD AND YOUR BRAIN DOESN'T FUNCTION -_-!
DayLight95 3 years ago
ur kidding right, i posted that comment a month ago so let it go, shut up, fuck up and get a life dick head
supernaturalfan2k8 3 years ago
