If you can practice it and get a technique down that works for you.
You will use more than your grip strength.Get your body tight,a good base for your feet and a breathing pattern down as you roll.I felt this one in my lats and abs a lot.Dont slow down and try to keep the roller moving. If you slow down or stop on the way up you will momentum and it will be much harder to do.Shave down your callouses so you don't tear them.I hope these tips will help you be successful.
we'll lift max_weight on 100cm hight (counting from the top of the carabiner to he bottom of the roller). It'll be last event, so there will be only couple attempts.
This piece of ......... equipment pumps forearms like nothing else)
i just learned about these wrist wrollers today and they look amazing thats some awsome grip strength you got there. ive been trying to build up my forearm and grip strength this exercise is just what i need, with less weight of course
Got it at the nybb site.I also use rollers from iron mind and fat bastard.fat bastard will make custom rollers for you at almost any diameter.I also have 2"and 2.5"rollers.
"Fat Bastard barbells" custom made me a 3" wrist roller metal sleeve that is 2" in diameter in the inside. I slide this over a 2" bar end for the smith machine at a local gym. at 3" it's gruelingly difficult. he's doing 110 lbs right now - 2 sets each direction, 1 hand at a time. We don't put any back into it - its all forearms. no bending alowed.
its videos like this that inspired me to create this bar and to incorporate a serious wrist roll routine into my workout. nicely done.
That's quite impressive. I've pulled about 278 in a similar setup. You made the start and finish look easy, both of which I find the toughest part of the lift. Nice lifting!
I have pretty much the exact same wrist roller setup as you, and I love it.
I love being able to go ultra-heavy with a wrist roller (I'm currently using 180 pounds with very strict form, both on the way up and on the way back down).
Excellent job... Don't mind the kids comment that's a lot of weight. One thing though... post another vid with you lowering the weight as well. Might have to take a little off but man that would be a good workout.
I see that you have a nice collection of bars in the background as well as dumbbells. Do you solely workout in your garage? (That is your garage right?)
I haven't trained in a commercial gym in more than ten years.I also have kettlebells and clubbells and will sometime train at a nearby park with them.
