  • If you can practice it and get a technique down that works for you.

You will use more than your grip strength.Get your body tight,a good base for your feet and a breathing pattern down as you roll.I felt this one in my lats and abs a lot.Dont slow down and try to keep the roller moving. If you slow down or stop on the way up you will momentum and it will be much harder to do.Shave down your callouses so you don't tear them.I hope these tips will help you be successful.

  • very strong!

we'll have IM wrist roller on a grip competition in Russia in three days' time))

interesting, what we are capable for))

  • @IvanBeritashvili Thank you Ivan.

Will you be doing it to see how much weight you can do or a specific weight for time?

    Good luck to you.

  • @osbb123 thank you!

we'll lift max_weight on 100cm hight (counting from the top of the carabiner to he bottom of the roller). It'll be last event, so there will be only couple attempts.

This piece of ......... equipment pumps forearms like nothing else)

  • wonder wer i can get 1 of those

  • i just learned about these wrist wrollers today and they look amazing thats some awsome grip strength you got there. ive been trying to build up my forearm and grip strength this exercise is just what i need, with less weight of course

  • Masz panie banie oby tak dalej

  • Beast

  • Never seen one of those before. Must blast your forearms like crazy.

  • Got it at the nybb site.I also use rollers from iron mind and fat bastard.fat bastard will make custom rollers for you at almost any diameter.I also have 2"and 2.5"rollers.

  • The wrist roller is a New York barbell

  • awesome job!! where do you get the roller bar?

  • That's crazy awesome. Props, bro!

  • is that the wicked wrist roller?

  • Excellent grip strength!!! I'm jealous!

  • Even though you are not holding the bar it's self liek the way bruce lee did, that's still impressive. Good job.

  • Nice. That's some serious weight.

  • cool :) wish I had a power rack

  • "Fat Bastard barbells" custom made me a 3" wrist roller metal sleeve that is 2" in diameter in the inside. I slide this over a 2" bar end for the smith machine at a local gym. at 3" it's gruelingly difficult. he's doing 110 lbs right now - 2 sets each direction, 1 hand at a time. We don't put any back into it - its all forearms. no bending alowed.

its videos like this that inspired me to create this bar and to incorporate a serious wrist roll routine into my workout. nicely done.

  • thanks for commenting on my vid! you did a great job as well, nice home gym too!

    rico

  • How much can you lift turning the roller the opposite direction?

  • Scott,

I've only been able to hit 250lbs turning palms inward.

  • @osbb123 omg jesus christ, at around 1:56 i litarly thought all that weight just dropped on your foot or something like omfg dude lol

  • VERY INTERESTING...

  • how do you make that?

  • It's just a 1"bar throught the center of the wrist roller in a power rack if that's what you were asking.

  • what size pvc is that???

  • It's a 2"new york barbell wrist roller not pvc.

  • very impressive!

  • Thanks!

  • Nice Job!

  • Thank alot!

  • around 700 for a can of coke

  • No i can't.

Never tried it but know a guy that crushed an unopened aluminium soda can.

Check out John Brookfields books the Gripmasters Manual and The mastery of Hand Strength. One of them has something on can crushing.

  • good job. 2 thing, i dont want you to pinch me, and watch out for your little toes.lol .good job thought!!

  • That's quite impressive. I've pulled about 278 in a similar setup. You made the start and finish look easy, both of which I find the toughest part of the lift. Nice lifting!

  • Thanks.

I find the start is the hardest also.

You'll be at 300lbs before you know it.

  • You have mighty strong hands, wrists and forerams - but you should work those calves :D

  • that was great.

  • holy crap nice work those forearms are monsters

  • that was badass. awesome job

  • Nice! I bet your pinching power is insane! Do you do anything eslse besides grip and forearm stuff?

  • Yes.I work with kettlebells, clubbells and have competed in powerlifting and bodybuilding in the past.

Keep an eye out for a new video or two in the next month or so.

  • nice mate...good machine!

  • that's awesome! I've never seen this lift before but i might try to put it in my routine. Awesomr flexor strength in the wrist man.

  • Very nice.

I have pretty much the exact same wrist roller setup as you, and I love it.

I love being able to go ultra-heavy with a wrist roller (I'm currently using 180 pounds with very strict form, both on the way up and on the way back down).

The forearm pumps are insane! lol

  • Excellent job... Don't mind the kids comment that's a lot of weight. One thing though... post another vid with you lowering the weight as well. Might have to take a little off but man that would be a good workout.

  • Great job man!!

    Dont mind the negative comment

  • Great feat of strength! You must be able to wrist curl a lot of weight as well.

  • I see that you have a nice collection of bars in the background as well as dumbbells. Do you solely workout in your garage? (That is your garage right?)

  • Yes that's my garage.

I haven't trained in a commercial gym in more than ten years.I also have kettlebells and clubbells and will sometime train at a nearby park with them.

  • feel the burn!

  • Thanks!

  • Just built the same set up. I was wondering though, does it wear out or elongate the whole in the power rack?

  • Dude next time try NOT to use your body. Just the Wrist thats why they call it WRISTROLL. Worst WRISTROLL EVER!!!!!!

  • Sorry i didn't meet your standards.

    How much do you roll?

  • Well i wristroll 100lb-125lb WITH MY WRIST!

  • Good work!

  • The realdeal is what Captains of crunsh do you close? i close #1 easy and not so far to close #2

  • I've only done the #2 with my right hand.

My crush grip is only average.Better at pinch gripping plates and the block device.

  • Im 19 and i WILL crush #4 when im 25!

  • Good attitude! You will on an elite list of grip monsters when that happens.

  • tell us more info? whats ur bench, squat, deadlift? how long you been training? and what can you close in the captains of crush?

  • Thanks guys!

This took me quite awhile to get to this much weight. On word and upward for more weight.

  • wow that looks like its a hella lot of work. Good job on doing that.

  • holy jesus mf'er, that's just incredible.

  • strong! powerfull ! was hard but u got the reward!
