More characters, stages, genre's of music(New school breakbeats, hip-hop, metal, dubstep, Madworld, and whatever The Prodigy does, Breathe and Their law were awesome), and most importantly, more characters with different gameplay mechanics tuned to perfection. Even if sega were to fell, I'd at least be glad that they tried rather then making another sonic solo game that the media will shit on anyway. It's been 6 years people.

@Danielt104 I highly doubt there will be a Dreamcast 2. The hardware business is incredibly competitive and risky, even Nintendo is struggling. SEGA lost their chance during the Dreamcast era due to countless reasons (too many to list here), and their credibility is lacking to generate mass-market sales. Unless they have an untapped well of net revenue, nothing will happen. However, let's say it does happen, then yes, SA3 will be developed but you don't need the Dreamcast 2 for that.

If they are money-hungry, they would make SA3 because it would sell better and encourage kids to download SA and SA2-if-it-comes-out. However, they learned they're lesson with Sonic 4. Something as simple as a name can make idiotic fanboys hate it just for being different. That said, Sonic Generations basically crushes SA series, and Sonic Colors matches it. Most of the levels from SA2 are slower "boost fests" from SC, and thes things arent at all present in SG.

Yeah, bring back Spin Dash! It should be fast paced but not as fast paced as Generations and Colors. Bring Team Hero and Team Dark back, with the addition of Silver the Hedgehog, Omega, and perhaps the Babylon Rogues (Maybe, with this storyline being the only one with racing involved) and Team Chaotix as playable characters. And Chaos should be the boss again.

Sonic and Shadow can have gameplay like in Sonic Generations. Other speed types can have the same only no light dash and instead of boost they can have their own power ups like Amys hammer and Espios knives. Power types can have More detailed challenging fighting along with their own skills like Knuckles gliding and digging. Flying types can have obstacles that test your flying ability and maybe puzzles. Classic Sonic and 1 2d act of every level can be unlocked after completing the main story.

One cool thing I think a new SA game could use, each char having about 2 different gameplay styles. Like sonic had his normal gampelay and Highspeed gameplay in 06, except give it unleashed day time controls. Shadow could do what he did in 06 and ShadowTH, but have missions or boss fights on vehicles. Can't think of 2 for Espio, but maybe his primary gameplay be about stealth and use his invisibility to avoid groups of badnick, which will alert other badnicks.

@thegamer549 That's a very simplistic view of things and I also see your point, but who's to say those things can't be part of the adventure series? After all, both adventure games had carts and driving, and the unleashed day style was pretty much an upgrade of sonic's high speed parts in 06. I don't think not being part of the series in the first place is that much of a deal breaker, rather sticking each character to only one thing and basing a whole game on it, like colors.

Classic style sonic game, maybe a DLC or PSP title(most unlikely since rivals is the only psp title but still) and then Adventure style sonic game for the major consoles. I don't see what harm there could be but someone came up with something and I can't remember. Anyway, just don't take 5 or 10 years apart from one or the other.
