I did a similiar OP in the early 90's onboard the Dirty D out of Galveston. It was almost identical to what I am seeing here, brought back memories. I was a non rate riding on the MSB and I had to fend them off from dumping our small boat. The same OP my buddy got his pic on the cover of Time Magazine.

I was in the small boat for this operation. This is a pretty good video on how it happened but being there and witnessing it first hand gives you a whole different insight as to what it was actually like. It took approximatly 15-20 minutes to get all 37 that went in the water up and onto the ship without a single loss of life. This operation will stick with me forever.
