I have broken a set of smith & wesson M-100-S with my bare hands as well. The double lock spring broke and they were stuck on me. It took 10 minutes and hurt like hell. I mangled them worse than the ones in this video. Fun times.

It's an easy thing. Three guys in Riverside did it while in police custody. One of the guys knew the trick and showed the others how to break the cuffs. then they showed the broken cuffs to the officers when they got back to the transport car. Needless to say they were charged with a new crime.

Probably to youn to remember him:) But he was/is without any doubt the strongest man known to history og man. He did not compete in waigtht lifting or shows like "World Strongest Man" or the like. He was challanged by Icelandic waight lifters but Reynir said he would not take any part in organized sport. On the other hand he offered the Icelandic National Team of waight lifters to stand on a platform which Reynir would then lift. They reclined... Wonder why!

I was amazed when I saw these videos. My dad used to tell me fairytales of this guy, which I almost believed - as my dad wasn't used to lie. But now I believe. If I remember correctly then these pictures are taken around 1960 and there are no special effects, just the real thing. Just wish that there were more detailed movies of his un-natural powers.

It is he him self that is talking. He says first that he didn't train at all. How much the pull is on one finger - While the men are pulling on the rope.

With the handcuffs he's talking about that he always wanted to break them. He had to buy the first pair from the police. But it was very hard getting them. He broke those cuffs with many witnesses. He talks about how the cuffs can be dangerous - even to him if there is a mistake.

hann var bróðir afa míns sem er lika látinn, þeir voru svona bræðurnir og langa afi líka. afi minn bjó allavega á svalbarðströnd (höfn1) réthjá akureyri. held ad hann Reynir hafi alltaf verið fyrir norðan. Hann vann allavega hjá Olís á akureyri með langa afa í gamla daga. það eru til margar frægðar sögur af honum og myndin var myklu lengri en er hér á you tube.
