And no, I don't believe in everything I read. I've been aware of Scientology since I was 15, and I personally know people - relatives and one close friend - who have been harrasssed by Scilons. The auditing techniques that people think they know about are very helpful in alieviating mental and emotional stress. I've benefited so much from the information I got from the Scien. people I know. Most of it's common sense things that we don't realize. It's not some elaborate hocus pocus ritual that some websites would have you believe. It's not mind control, it's the exact opposite. It can help you find out more about yourself and your surroundings. It helped me atleast. I'm not hipnotised.
It's good that auditing helped you out. I, however, remain a sceptic, for various reasons. I know it's not a 'hocus pocus ritual' - I've read all about what occurs during auditing, and I've met people who have had at least one session.
You are not a scientologist, but I've been one for over 15y. The church is suppresive. In the Sea Org if you refuse to get an abortion you are trown out and billed for all services taken (freeloader). That's Miscavige policy, not LRH. The church enforces disconnection between family members. (LRH cancelled disconnection, Miscavige reinstated it) No wonder most OT7/OT8 left the church - it is unable to create OTs. If you like auditing, it is cheaper and better in the Free Zone.

If Sceintology is this big bad monster that everyone believes why didn't I get taken advantage of? Why am I not shy anymore? Here's how it saves lives: If a person with sleep apneas has surgery that requires anesthesia, the doctors doing the surgery have to have another nurse or staff member present just to monitor their breathing, because if they don't get enough oxygen while they're out, they can die. Because sleep deprivation causes a myriad of health problems.. depression, anxiety, muscle fatigue, heart disease... you name it. So they have sleep clinics, one of which I volunteered at while I was in college. (This will be long and you'll have to read it in reverse for it to make sense..)

L. Ron Hubbard devised the Fair Game Policy, and even though he revised it several times, discontinued the allowance of calling someone 'Fair Game' (though they could still be treated as such) and then claimed to stop using it altogether, it is still exercised by Scilons today. Examples include John Sweeney from the BBC in his Panorama episode on Scientology. A few days ago some Anon members were physically assaulted by a Scilon for not removing theirs mask to have a photo taken by them.

One of the sites I read states that one of the penalties for being against Scientology is that they can destroy a person violently or their property. This is totally false. Contrary to popular believe a Scientologist would never harm anyone unless it is in self defense or in defense of another human being. I did my research, that's how I found Anonymous. I was led to research more and learnt about the true CoS. That was when I joined Anonymous in the protests.
The CoS really isn't any better. The people fall for their auditing techniques (which failed all scientific experiments) and end up locked in stuffy rooms and led to starve, or wind up more fucked up than before. And the money rools in. Straight into David Miscavige's wallet. Besides, I'm not arguing for psychology. You just assumed that.

The auditing techniques that people think they know about are very helpful in alieviating mental and emotional stress. I've benefited so much from the information I got from the Scien. people I know. Most of it's common sense things that we don't realize. It's not some elaborate hocus pocus ritual that some websites would have you believe. It's not mind control, it's the exact opposite. It can help you find out more about yourself and your surroundings. It helped me atleast. I'm not hipnotised.

You are not a scientologist, but I've been one for over 15y. The church is suppresive. In the Sea Org if you refuse to get an abortion you are trown out and billed for all services taken (freeloader). That's Miscavige policy, not LRH. The church enforces disconnection between family members. (LRH cancelled disconnection, Miscavige reinstated it) No wonder most OT7/OT8 left the church - it is unable to create OTs. If you like auditing, it is cheaper and better in the Free Zone.

There have been interviews with people that were auditers for Scientology. They also keep strict records of all information given out during audits. Why do Scientologists require their memebers to reveale information that can be used for black-mail?
