@marktse Well the acog sight is best on some guns but not good on others. Its major drawback is that it takes a bit longer to bring up to look through compared to the iron sight or a red dot. Thats just how they made it so it not used very much in cod4 ,5 , or 6 and most likely will not be used in black ops much aswell.

@YourJoshHD well thats where its unfair. when yo use irons and red dots in COD theres a zoom going on. Fire a real ar-15 you dont get any zoom. they should keep it 0. Irons are slower then acogs because you have to align the front and rear where acogs are NOT scopes. they are virtually parallax free locked 4x magnified tritium reticles with really really loose eye relief so you see through it really fast.

@YourJoshHD in the game iron sight should be the slower than acog, the red dot should be fastest. in fact red dots and holosights should be the same and not need to be hoisted into alignment since there are no parallax the dot should always be on what ever you shoot. The dot will super impose with both eyes open anyways. Irons should be the slowest and require alignment from front to back.

Thats how acogs are used. ANd you do that with red dots and eotechs. @InlayUK what do you think they mean by parallax free? You only need to line up for iron sights and scopes. I fix my chin to same spot everytime out of habit but its not necessary. YOu can close your eyes with an acog but then its just a scope and its used incorrectly. Its for fast acquisition. Otherwise they would have went for a higher magnification than 4x. Also I've used or owned eotechs, aimpoints, acogs, leupold, bushnell, chinese knockoffs. I know how to use all of them and accurately.

It's actually a RUSSIAN gun. It was developed in the Soviet Union back in the 40's by Mikhail Kalashnikov.

The terrorist cells use it because of it's durability (weighs like 9 pounds) and being easy to use, they use it.
