@jazst21 Company has been out of business for a year. Planned to get one a few years ago for $400 or so, but since they've become a bit sparser and more expensive :( Shame.
Sounds like a carnival organ. But other than that you guys make great videos and you know your shit. I just don't think I like the Sirius even after hearing your expert playing on it.
@scrualla i think tis the webcams or digital camera poor sound recording- ive played these they sound much better in person or probally recorded- pretty amazing for techno and modern electronica!
i like the video effects aswell, but the sound if bloody amazing, man i was lucky enough to have a keyboard when i was younger so i know the feeling :) and oh wow, when i connected it to the large stereo :D big grins all round!
Hell Ya it is!!! creepy and dramatic. He is just very good at programming. All his vid's are just awesome. Great video editing as well. My favorite synth youtube channel!!

Guitar Center Detroit used to carry the Quasimidi Sirius. I wanted one. It had some sweet presets, as anyone can hear during this demo. But GC only had the display. I tried to order one for about but even the Floridian distributor couldn't land one. So, I bought a Quasimidi Polymorph and later a Korg Triton. But, honestly, I REALLY wanted that Sirius. It's incredibly expressive. In 1997 there was little to compete with it but it was ahead of it's time.
Hi i have just come across your syth video of the quasimidi, i have had mine for about 4 years now, and loving evrey minet of it, great sounds will you post any more up, Great stuff
How the hell does any sound come out of that synth? There are no cables going into the line outs or headphone jack. The only thing I see is a yellow midi cable.
he simply connected a stereo cable into the headphone socket: you can clearly see it upward on the right of the keyboard... at first you can be fooled into thinking that the black thing is the vocoder microphone; well it isn't :)
You people do not get it. It is not the synth that sounds so good it is the way Jexus plays the machine. Any decent synth will do just fine. Learn all you can about sound construction.
that is true, but this thing is really awesome... I know that because I own it... you get a very easy to operate 7-tracks pattern sequencer, a vocoder, an arpeggiator/gater/chorder, lfo syncable to the bpm and lot of other stuff (drum sound are fantastic, so it is the drumgrid sequencer); besides the synth engine, you got to like the 'performance' possibilities the machine has... lots of knob and buttons... it's a real pleasure to work with it
I have two of these babies :) absolutely mental sounding synths. I bought mine in early 99, direct from germany. the screen got pushed inside the chassis during transit from Germany to Perth in western australia. I phoned them up and they sent a new one, and were supposed to pick up the faulty one..it never happened, so i fixed the screen on the "broken" one and got 2 for the price of 1! best thousand bucks i ever spent on two cutting edge synths (at the time!)audio out is via headphones in vid
This was the very first synth I bought way back in 1998 (when I was 14). I used it loads but I stood on the power cable and it pulled the plastic plug bit out of the back. It still works but only with electrical tape. Don't know why quasimidi folded. Crying shame really as they made some really impressive sounding (and looking) machines. I still hear it on some records today. Especially the drums.
I've got on of these, it really is a great little synth, you can edit any onboard sound in about 128 different ways or just create your own from scratch. The possibilities are endless on this thing... runs nicely along side my TC Powercore inside my machine.
The keys on the Sirius are indeed of some cheap plastic that does star to get yellow with age. Doesn't matter really, the keyboard assembly is absolutely horrible to play and it's better to play it by MIDI with another keyboard. :P

Heard of it it but never quite heard it. WOW!impressive to say the least.. Lots of beautifull and very usable stuff you've got going there! You must put a really interesting act on stage. Totally loved the video fx and cutaways (alligator included - we like 'em in Florida) - RRRRAD. Poland rocks bad ass!! Love from the US.
hi there! i was a polymorph owner, i like your great sounds and programming and i think we have to say that the quasimidi fall down is a tragedy for all the synthesizers addicts!! now i'm going to buy one of these and return to the past!
Fuck me. I was thinking about how dark (great!) this sounded. Was even thinking how it has some of the texture of the old 80's rolands. Was thinking about Twin Peaks and Badalamenti, and then...Laura Palmer!! Goddamn!
