It's weird how many people answer with money and "things" to the question of what would make their day, and yet most favorite memories revolve around being with someone they love and not around geting money or buying cars. Anyway, very nice video! And Chicago is now on my "Places to see before I die"
I know no one cares, but my favorite memory was being with my 8th grade girlfriend and writing notes to each other back and forth... we were truly in love... she's long since moved on.. Its my favorite memory, but its hard to think about...
My favourite memory of Chicago...two many to mention but I suppose the feeling I got walking down state st for the first time looking up at the tall buildings. I love Chicago.
My favorite memory of Chicago was when I was about 5, my dad and I were walking on Navy pier getting portillo's on a rainy afternoon. Weird but awesome.
Chicago is called Second City because of the Great Chicago Fire - the city had to rebuild itself. The Water Tower on N. Michigan Ave. is part of the couple remaining buildings that survived. I'm surprised that not a lot of Chicago residents know this.
LOL. No need to get sensitive. It's better to know the meaning behind that nickname then go spouting "we're second to none" when it fact the nickname doesn't even pertain to an inferior complex that most Americans believe.

@meonako We've watched our video hundreds of times now and it's a bag of emotions. Delighted to hear this has given you a fresh perspective on things :)
@fofarabs because despite all the shit that goes on in the world showing the ugly side of humanity, we can still have sparks of beauty within ourselves
My favorite memory is experiencing the 'real' Irish Pub feeling in Malahide and St. Paddies day in Dublin ! Thats the first thing that always pops up in my head
My favorite memory... it's kinda hard to pick, I have a lot of good memories. Great times with my girlfriend (we are still having great times), spending time with my dad and grandmother at their summer house, childhood and friends, awesome video games, awesome movies, going to other counties, getting my own apartment, collecting pokemon cards when I was small, amusement parks, building my own computer, and much more.
@OrangeClockpiece That is an incredible favourite memory. I cannot imagine the rush of emotions you must be feeling right now. I wish you a very healthy and happy life :)
It's so tough to pick a favourite out of so many favourites... I don't even know If I could pin point a winner, but only one that come to mind first, which was the olympic gold medal game in my hometown of Vancouver and Crosby scoring the game winner and watching the whole city erupt, you felt like you were a part of something much bigger then a game.
Awesome video. Did anyone say anything about the American dream? I am curious about that if anyone ever has, their favourite memories all make them smile
this was great. except for that one gay kid and his mother, i had so much respect for how close they were... until they said their favorite memory was lady gaga. then the kids like "put the claw up"
What?! I'm a straight guy and I think Lady Gaga is AWESOME! Plus, it's "favorite memory", I for one thought his confession was really sweet and came from the heart. Paws Up!
@TickleMeElmo55 idk then, you do you, im not gonna tell you what to listen to but i think post 1st album lady gaga is obnoxious and tries too hard to force her ideology down the throat of her listeners.
I'm from Chicago. Been here for seven years. One of my favorite memories was when I went on a trip with my best friend in Puerto Rico to visit his uncle, who lived in the mountains. I remember sharing and playing with our toys in the back seat until we fell asleep. When I woke up we were already in the mountain area. I remember how beautiful it looked and how soft the world felt with the sun hitting us through the trees. I miss my friend. We still talk on FB, but we each have our own lives...
This is REAL TV and a great social commentary on a lovely place and contented, happy, focussed people. It made my day -and can't wait to get the cam gear out & start strolling around the next town I visit. Best wishes from Always Sunny, North Wales
when I was a kid, my dad used to take out his Nintendo Entertainment System after dinner. my sisters and I used to gather around and watch him play Super Mario 3 for hours, only stopping to hand us the controller during the puzzle games. when bedtime came around, it felt like we'd been playing for years.
can you please come to Toronto? Or more specifically Burlington, Ontario? Cause i'd be there in a heart beat. Just to watch even. I dunno. Be apart of something great. if not i'll be watching, these videos are amazing :) Well done sir, well done.
My favourite memory is when I went bungee jumping shortly after my thirteenth birthday. That year my mother was turning forty, and we decided that since 13 and 40 are deemed important dates, we'd do something special. So we both jumped off a bridge. The feeling as I fell was incredible, it felt like it took an hour for the first bounce. I've never had another experience quite like it.
i live in chicago, after living in a suburb right next door all my life. this city has to many memories to offer. im glad someone came to this city to make a video
Hands down, watching the 40th Anniversary Concert of Soul Train in Millennium Park and broadcasting that to my parents over FaceTime. Chicago was amazing! A cultural experience like non-other.
I was standing on the shore of Lake Michigan with my friends watching a blizzard. The snow was so thick and the light so pale that everything had gone soft gray-yellow as far as I could see. I was thinking about graduating college, leaving these people who had become my family and the possibility of never seeing them again, or forgetting them as I grew old, and I started to cry. My friend didn't say anything, but handed me the most perfect birch bark curl I've ever seen. I still have it.
My favourite memory was meeting my long-distance girlfriend for the first time. We'd met online via a mutual friend and a few months later, her mother brought her over to England from France for the Summer in 2009. A few hours after we initially met face-to-face, we shared our first kiss in the rain, by the sea. It was incredible. Almost three years have passed since then, and though distance still separates us for months at a time, we're just as strong as ever :)
It's kinda silly, but my favorite memory has never happened. It's having bubble gum ice cream with my grandfather, who died before I was born. But I have this prefect memory of sitting at an old picnic table, licking the blue ice cream off my hands.
@FlutterFoxFly I'm so sorry to hear that you never got a chance to meet your grandfather. It's so wonderful of you to 'remember' him in such a way. Be strong :)
My favorite memory was my own graduation, and going through commencement. You don't realize how much you miss school, no matter how crappy it was, until it's gone. It's the one time where you spend the most time with friends doing stupid stuff while trying to avoid getting detention. We take advantage of that and I'm so thankful that I got to graduate.
My favourite memory was the first time I galloped on a horse. Learning to canter I remember being very scared at the time, but when I first galloped it took me by complete surprise how much I loved that feeling.
Summers spent on Shelter Island. At night, beneath a blanket of stars so wide I could hear the echo of the Milky Way, we'd drive through shining, empty ebony roads dashed with gold, leafed sentinels in parade formation as we passed in our red sports car, top down, cutting through the pregnant fullness of night. I sat in the back seat, my head perched between my parents, staring at the stars and dreaming, my parents' hands folded in love on the leather armrest.
My favourite memory... stealing glances at my boyfriend while he's driving through the winter night on our first date. The snowflakes were beautiful, like crystals dancing in the air.
What is your favorite memory? Would be grateful if you took the time to share. Thanks so much for all the positive feedback. Inspirational to hear life stories and experiences.
Exceptional camera work! Great editing! You could produce a show based on this theme. Have you seen cash cab show. @polpotsdog Thanks so much for lovely comments. I agree, I need to do one soon in Dublin- the city speaks for itself, it is one of the nicest in the world from the Dublin Mountains ,music, universities, museums...not to mention our people...
