I don't think Roxanne gets enough credit and Jacque always points out those who have contributed to our world and inspired him. I will be attending Zday in Long Beach on March 12th. I have so much respect for this man. I have watched many of his videos on youtube and can't get enough. If you watch a documentary called "Future by Design", it will give you a little bit more about his life. He never did anything for the love of money and never was a sell out to get rich with his inventions. He had to give some up to make a living and feed himself. I really wasn't able to get much from this one, but if you're insinuating that his ideas hold no value because he once contributed to the military industrial complex, you should also consider that he only improved aircraft design, he refused to make or improve weapons. He says himself that if he wanted to he could have thought up lots of new weapons, but he didn't.
The best thing for people to do to help The Zeitgeist Movement and The Venus Project is to just start telling people, friends, coworkers strangers etc. and have them watch all the information on line. Jacque has the Experience, Wisdom, and knowledge to back up everything he says. Politicians are not elected to bring change but to be guardians of the status Quo.. Jacque talks about real change a new social system using science and technology for the betterment of society without Money.
I like alot of the ideas that he has to share, but he's not actually providing solutions. There are many large, gaping holes in his vision. Just some simple things to consider:
1) Most of the technology he speaks of does not exist
2) Communals have been tried time and again -- they fail
3) His idea is not different from the Orwellian concept even though he claims it -- the flaw is that people are lazy and have self-interest in mind
4) Studies have shown people take care of things they own
5) I've read about Jacque Fresco and his interactions with his supporters -- not promising. He owns a profit-based organization that he funds with donations. The donations are made because the people who are donating are under the impression that the money will go to his non-profit organization. I've read about plenty of people who were tricked into losing money by him
6) One of his favorite sayings is that his new idea is NOT A DEMOCRACY. So who's making the decisions, then? Computers?
@IceC80 I am a programmer, and I will tell you that computers only are able to do what the programmer wants them to do. Also, a computer system is able to only operate with the inputs that you give it. Also, a computer system that monitors the status of the entire world and everything that is currently happening in the world is not only Big Brotherish, but it's completely unrealistic.
The computers do not make decisions in themselves, they help arrive at correct decisions with evidence which is not subject to interpretation. I.E.: Jacque's example of a scale being invented to be given the "decision-making" capability of weighing an item which two people could have argued over forever. Without money, their are no opposing interests, there's just human interest which is really one situation: clean air, food, water, shelter, education.

He has kept his personal life out of the Venus Project for specific reasons (I.E. he was married and had children once, before he met Roxanne) but he has listed his working experience/accomplishments and things he's written/done in the past (you can read Looking Forward for free in .pdf form, the book he wrote with Kenneth Keyes in 1969) What else do you want to know and WHY?

Like WHAT??? He has an extensive resume with the things he's done before. You don't ask an architect about his ex wife and family members he doesn't talk to anymore, because that's not relevant to the task at hand, and it's not relevant to The Venus Project either. And the reason why he's the one in the interviews is that HE came up with this concept. Your research and questions have been a mega fail. No, Jacque does not say there are 'scientists with him' 'working on his ideas.' There are two people living in the Venus Project: Jacque and Roxanne. The Zeitgeist Movement, on the other hand is the activist arm of the Venus Project, working to spread these ideas and support them. No one needs to "work" on the ideas themselves because they've remained relatively the same for 40 years; we just need mass awareness and support for this direction.

I don't think Roxanne gets enough credit and Jacque always points out those who have contributed to our world and inspired him. I will be attending Zday in Long Beach on March 12th. I have so much respect for this man. I have watched many of his videos on youtube and can't get enough. If you watch a documentary called "Future by Design", it will give you a little bit more about his life. He never did anything for the love of money and never was a sell out to get rich with his inventions. He had to give some up to make a living and feed himself. I also have much respect for Roxanne Meadows for being their and dedicating her life to help out Jacque with his work.

I really wasn't able to get much from this one, but if you're insinuating that his ideas hold no value because he once contributed to the military industrial complex, you should also consider that he only improved aircraft design, he refused to make or improve weapons. He says himself that if he wanted to he could have thought up lots of new weapons, but he didn't.

I like alot of the ideas that he has to share, but he's not actually providing solutions. There are many large, gaping holes in his vision. Just some simple things to consider:
1) Most of the technology he speaks of does not exist
2) Communals have been tried time and again -- they fail
3) His idea is not different from the Orwellian concept even though he claims it -- the flaw is that people are lazy and have self-interest in mind
4) Studies have shown people take care of things they own

The donations are made because the people who are donating are under the impression that the money will go to his non-profit organization. I've read about plenty of people who were tricked into losing money by him

Also, a computer system is able to only operate with the inputs that you give it. Also, a computer system that monitors the status of the entire world and everything that is currently happening in the world is not only Big Brotherish, but it's completely unrealistic.

The computers do not make decisions in themselves, they help arrive at correct decisions with evidence which is not subject to interpretation. I.E.: Jacque's example of a scale being invented to be given the "decision-making" capability of weighing an item which two people could have argued over forever. Without money, their are no opposing interests, there's just human interest which is really one situation: clean air, food, water, shelter, education.

The FBD portion is for donations to help TVP pay for the equipment and tools which they have used to create their "products" - books, dvds, etc. to sell - which they do for profit with the Venus Project company. This helps them pay the bills. How does this invalidate anything about their proposals?

There is an extensive biography on the website, how extensive do you want it to be? He has kept his personal life out of the Venus Project for specific reasons (I.E. he was married and had children once, before he met Roxanne) but he has listed his working experience/accomplishments and things he's written/done in the past (you can read Looking Forward for free in .pdf form, the book he wrote with Kenneth Keyes in 1969) What else do you want to know and WHY?

I never said there was a biography in Looking Forward, I said that it's a book he wrote in 1969, which should give you some perspective as to what he's been working on his whole life and how long he's been working on it. He worked for the aircraft industry for 30-something years, and designed things for numerous other fields after that. I'm not giving you a "defensive attitude" I'm asking WHY the hell is any of Jacque's personal life relevant to his proposals? Did you try calling TVP?

Like WHAT??? He has an extensive resume with the things he's done before. You don't ask an architect about his ex wife and family members he doesn't talk to anymore, because that's not relevant to the task at hand, and it's not relevant to The Venus Project either. And the reason why he's the one in the interviews is that HE came up with this concept. Up until a little over a year ago, he and Roxanne were just about the only two people advocating this direction.

Master of all things???? What??? The only people who make up the Venus Project right now are he and Roxanne. He doesn't have "some people," so who would be in the interviews? Peter Joseph is doing a pretty good job of backing up Jacque's ideas and will continue to do so very well in his new film. What Jacque does have are a huge list of references (suggested reading) to the renowned scientists whose ideas help comprise the Venus Project (i.e. Alfred Korzybski, B.F. Skinner, Stuart Chase, etc.)

Your research and questions have been a mega fail. No, Jacque does not say there are 'scientists with him' 'working on his ideas.' There are two people living in the Venus Project: Jacque and Roxanne. The Zeitgeist Movement, on the other hand is the activist arm of the Venus Project, working to spread these ideas and support them. No one needs to "work" on the ideas themselves because they've remained relatively the same for 40 years; we just need mass awareness and support for this direction.

Christianity was just one abstract example of the unreliability of religious history. Islam isn't as popular in the U.S. as in other areas. The first film was geared towards U.S. citizens. Islam was not without criticism in Addendum.
The first film was long enough. It would have taken another film or two to go over Free Masonry and the Occult practices of this and other secret societies in enough detail. In the end, the subject of Free Masonry etc. is IRRELEVANT to the root issues, however.

Any form of "ism" is essentially rooted in a monetary system. Anyone that has listen to JF for 5sec. knows the whole point of the resourced based movment is to make all things availiable without money or the need for a monitary system.
Calling this Marxist leads me to believe that they either do not have a clue what marxism is, what the Venus Project advocates, or probably both.

@VooDooU22X I think I know what you mean, but "science" in terms of our basic needs for survival on this earth, including social health, brings us together when we go back to the root of it. No matter what beliefs / arts / religions etc people have, the one common thing we cannot deny is our BASIC needs for survival. Its the same in every human. Nothing artistic will ever change that.

If, in fact, you intend to use globalization to refer to global unity you are simply using the stigma of the word association to suggest a sinister intent. There is nothing wrong with uniting all the countries of the world, *as long as it isn't centered upon financial interests*!
The NWO you fear, and I agree, is one established by the banking elite by use of monetary superiority and political power. Both of these tools (money and politics) would be eliminated altogether through TVP.

Then read a book. The Zeitgeist Activist Orientation guide or the Venus Project's proposals are available for free in .pdf form on their websites, and you can read them in whatever voice you want to in your head. You can even make a "ding! turn the page sound" :)

I'd be THRILLED if Google would endorse TZM and give us some exposure. They have not. As a matter of fact, they've done the opposite. They have repeatedly removed the first film from youtube due to erroneous "copyright" claims. I'm not the biggest fan of the first film anyway, though.

I'm sorry, but you don't understand the Venus Project if you think it's a "little universe of scientists deciding who thinks what and acts like what." In a Resource Based Economy there would be no need for anyone telling anyone else what to do, think, how to live, etc. The only thing we propose is making the necessities of life available to all people. You can go live in a tent if you want to; no one will stop you. What is it that you feel we "are all totally unaware of the obvious" about?
