Hell, I'm bi-polar and suicide "runs" in my family (my paternal grandmother, and an uncle on my mom's side of the family both hung themselves). A newspaper (The Seattle Post Intelligencer) published a source had told them that Kurt had tons of heroin on april 14. That's the info people like to believe, but Cobains reports never leaked.
And look at Amy Winehouse, her toxicology results took a month in 2011. Do you really think science was so good in 1994 that Cobains results were due in a few days?

The writers of "Love and Death" worked with a coroner who did research. Add to that Kurt was underweight, and there is evidence he was off of drugs at the time.

You don't get it. What is counted is the level at autopsey. To have that much in his blood at autopsey is 3 times the average lethal ammount. This means that in all the cases of OD deaths, the average level at autopsey is 3 times less than that found in Kurt's system. What does this mean? It's real simply. Kurt hat to have taken, or been injected with, a massive amount of heroin that would in and of itself likely kill him. He would have been unconscious within seconds.

He attempted suicide earlier that year and even though he had a daughter, addicts don't think about that stuff. Plus, him being gone made a total difference on his daughter's future. From what I understand about this situation, Cobain had too much heroine in his system to even be able to pick up a gun, much less put it to his head and pull the trigger. From what I understand, Kurt had difficulty coping with fame, expectations, and life in general-- not hard to believe for a superstar. Also, he used to lock himself in a room to escape Courtney Love. Some of his song lyrics seem to insinuate that he felt controlled by his marriage and desperately wanted out.

It seems like people who have had a serious problem with heroin, or are close to someone that's struggled with it, understand how someone in Cobain's position could have felt hopeless in the face of his addiction. People get to a point where they are eventually just shooting dope to keep from getting sick, and every time you kick it gets harder and harder to bear, both physically and mentally. I think the pressures from his wife, band and record company just compounded these problems for Kurt.
The only time a heroin addict would commit suicide is when they can't get a fix. Someone he knew came to the house, supplied the concentrated dose of heroin for Kurt to use, then shot him after he passed out.

I haven't, but I know people who have, and they tell me that you get to a point where you know you're caught in a cycle, where instead of shooting up for the euphoria of the drug, you're using just to keep from getting sick. Just my opinion, but I think that Kurt knew he was caught in a cycle like that. Most addicts simply OD. I think Kurt shot himself in part to avoid the possibility of ending up in another coma like in Rome a month prior.

Kurt was murdered before he could file for divorce. He was also going to sign a will that cut Courtney out. And Courtney was in possession of his journals and could easily have added things. Friends who knew Kurt said he was in good spirits the last months. He was leaving Nirvana and Courtney.
Kurt talked to various people, including his lawyer, about wanting a divorce, but he didn't file for it. He wrote vindictive letters in his journals firing Krist and Dave, and telling them that "Nirvana is an embarrassment. My soul can't take it, my body can't.", but never sent them. I think that a lot of things in Kurt's life at the time were making him miserable, not just Courtney.

Krist has said in a radio interview that he's never even seen heroin...does that mean that Kurt never used it? As far as 1994 goes, Rene Navarette (sometimes nanny to Frances) claims to have done dope w/ Kurt @ the Marco Polo before the intervention in late March '94. Is she lying? I don't know, I wasn't there.

You should read Everett True's book, he interviews Cali DeWitt, in addition to Rene and other people surrounding the couple that didn't participate w/ Cross, and it's quite long with lots of interesting 1st person accounts by Everett. IMO, the proof Kurt had relapsed is in the fact he agreed to go to Exodus...

Kurt was a depressed guy who always talked about suicide. Kurt had a bad stomach infection all his life he was in constant pain. In one of his interviews with MTV he even stated he hated life and is always killing himself slowly. He had constant pain 24/7 he cried because he couldn't even eat (his infection). I love how they don't mention these type of things though in the documentary.

There was not a "lack of blood". The police reports describe a "large drying pool of blood" originating from Cobain's left ear, and the amount of blood and trauma found were shown to be consistent with the fact that he was shot with a 20 gauge shotgun, essentially loaded with birdshot, or a "light load". Also, to my knowledge, no handwriting analysis was ever performed on the "practice sheet" to prove who wrote it, or prove it's an attempt to ape Cobain's handwriting.

He was definately murdered. The lack of blood completely proves that. He was shot in the head when he was already dead. When a persons heart is stopped the blood isn't pumped out. My opinion is he or someone else gave him a lethal dose of smack which killed him, then they shot him in the head to make sure. Plus I love how nobody talks about how a note was found on Courtney where she was practicing Kurts handwriting.

@JewelEGirl I've come to find out that "dead men don't bleed!" If the heart is not beating, a body won't bleed. In Kurt's case, as you can see in that photo, there is little or no blood visible in the photos. So, what about a person with a huge dose of heroin in them and a reduced heart rate that results. @floppingnoni Honestly, alot of people have suicidal thoughts. Hell, I'm bi-polar and suicide "runs" in my family (my paternal grandmother, and an uncle on my mom's side of the family both hung themselves). And at times I've even thought about suicide. but that doesn't mean I would ever go through with it.

As a Nirvana fan since 1992, I have watched/heard/traded tons of interviews of Kurt talking about wanting to kill himself (as a teenager, in his early twenties, in his mid twenties). Did Courtney alter Kurt's voice and mouth too? Did she alter Nirvana lyrics (look on the brigh side is suicide)?

He LOVED his daughter, he WAS going to divorce Courtney, and he had loads of plans with friends/family (according to them). But I remember reading, Courtney wanted the "meanest" lawyer for the divorce papers if the MURDER failed. Also, she just wanted the money, I am sure she loved him once and Kurt did too (which is sad marriage that could have been great) but honestly she was just after money, and did not like the idea of a divorce/ no inheritance. The person I feel sorry for most is Frances.

I think kurt did not kill himself. I dont think courtney killed him physically BUT verbally. There could have been something courtney said to trigger kurt to actually succeed to at suicide. In his song heart shapd box, the true meaning of the song confirmed that courtney always wanted to be in control, and it confirmed how women have sexually power over men.She could of pushed kurt to the limit. Police said "the results of toxicology reports will take over 3 weeks" on april 8.
A newspaper (The Seattle Post Intelligencer) published a source had told them that Kurt had tons of heroin on april 14. That's the info people like to believe, but Cobains reports never leaked.
And look at Amy Winehouse, her toxicology results took a month in 2011. Do you really think science was so good in 1994 that Cobains results were due in a few days?

I do agree that there were a lot of odd happenings when he died though and I'm open to the possibility of murder, but in all likelihood, it was probably suicide.

@rsohlich1: No, there is no recorded case of anyone in history who could ingest a 3 times lethal dose of heroin and remain conscious long enough to shoot themselves with a gun, and people have looked for this proof.. The writers of "Love and Death" worked with a coroner who did research. Add to that Kurt was underweight, and there is evidence he was off of drugs at the time.

I'm VERY open to the murder theory, but after suffering addiction (opiates) and depression I can understand part of why he may have done it himself, but I never had his success which would make the depression and drug use more extreme because of the money and fame and pressure to "perform."

You don't get it. What is counted is the level at autopsey. To have that much in his blood at autopsey is 3 times the average lethal ammount. This means that in all the cases of OD deaths, the average level at autopsey is 3 times less than that found in Kurt's system. What does this mean? It's real simply. Kurt hat to have taken, or been injected with, a massive amount of heroin that would in and of itself likely kill him. He would have been unconscious within seconds.

He attempted suicide earlier that year and even though he had a daughter, addicts don't think about that stuff. Plus, him being gone made a total difference on his daughter's future. I liked the guy, but he wasn't exactly father of the year material being in-and-out of rehab.

From what I understand about this situation, Cobain had too much heroine in his system to even be able to pick up a gun, much less put it to his head and pull the trigger. From what I understand, Kurt had difficulty coping with fame, expectations, and life in general-- not hard to believe for a superstar. Also, he used to lock himself in a room to escape Courtney Love. Some of his song lyrics seem to insinuate that he felt controlled by his marriage and desperately wanted out.

It seems like people who have had a serious problem with heroin, or are close to someone that's struggled with it, understand how someone in Cobain's position could have felt hopeless in the face of his addiction. People get to a point where they are eventually just shooting dope to keep from getting sick, and every time you kick it gets harder and harder to bear, both physically and mentally. I think the pressures from his wife, band and record company just compounded these problems for Kurt.

I haven't, but I know people who have, and they tell me that you get to a point where you know you're caught in a cycle, where instead of shooting up for the euphoria of the drug, you're using just to keep from getting sick. Just my opinion, but I think that Kurt knew he was caught in a cycle like that. Most addicts simply OD. I think Kurt shot himself in part to avoid the possibility of ending up in another coma like in Rome a month prior.

Kurt talked to various people, including his lawyer, about wanting a divorce, but he didn't file for it. He wrote vindictive letters in his journals firing Krist and Dave, and telling them that "Nirvana is an embarrassment. My soul can't take it, my body can't.", but never sent them. I think that a lot of things in Kurt's life at the time were making him miserable, not just Courtney.

Krist has said in a radio interview that he's never even seen heroin...does that mean that Kurt never used it? As far as 1994 goes, Rene Navarette (sometimes nanny to Frances) claims to have done dope w/ Kurt @ the Marco Polo before the intervention in late March '94. Is she lying? I don't know, I wasn't there.

You should read Everett True's book, he interviews Cali DeWitt, in addition to Rene and other people surrounding the couple that didn't participate w/ Cross, and it's quite long with lots of interesting 1st person accounts by Everett. IMO, the proof Kurt had relapsed is in the fact he agreed to go to Exodus...

Kurt was a depressed guy who always talked about suicide. Kurt had a bad stomach infection all his life he was in constant pain. In one of his interviews with MTV he even stated he hated life and is always killing himself slowly. He had constant pain 24/7 he cried because he couldn't even eat (his infection). I love how they don't mention these type of things though in the documentary.

There was not a "lack of blood". The police reports describe a "large drying pool of blood" originating from Cobain's left ear, and the amount of blood and trauma found were shown to be consistent with the fact that he was shot with a 20 gauge shotgun, essentially loaded with birdshot, or a "light load". Also, to my knowledge, no handwriting analysis was ever performed on the "practice sheet" to prove who wrote it, or prove it's an attempt to ape Cobain's handwriting.

@TestMeatDollSteak That makes sense. If you look at the picture that shows the right side of his body laying nexe to the cop kneeling beside him, you can't see any blood.

He was definately murdered. The lack of blood completely proves that. He was shot in the head when he was already dead. When a persons heart is stopped the blood isn't pumped out. My opinion is he or someone else gave him a lethal dose of smack which killed him, then they shot him in the head to make sure. Plus I love how nobody talks about how a note was found on Courtney where she was practicing Kurts handwriting.

@JamesTKirkCobain You've got me wondering now... In the picture of his body laying next to the cops feet, you can't see ANY blood on the right side of his body. I would think there would be a LOT of blood from a headwound, even if it was on the left side of the head

@JewelEGirl I've come to find out that "dead men don't bleed!" If the heart is not beating, a body won't bleed. In Kurt's case, as you can see in that photo, there is little or no blood visible in the photos. So, what about a person with a huge dose of heroin in them and a reduced heart rate that results. Do they bleed significantly less? Not sure. I have a video which you can find on bestgore.com of a man committing suicide at a press conference. Ill try to find a link for you.

@JewelEGirl He puts the gun in his mouth and fires upward into the brain, I would guess that in less than 30 seconds several pints of blood have flowed from this mans wound. Where is the blood in the photo you viewed - if you saw this video of this other person committing suicide, you would never imagine it possible that Kurt did not bleed extensively, MUCH more than what is shown in the photos... Now for that link..

It's a note saying Nirvana is ending, until the last few lines, where the hand writing changes and describes suicide. We should all rally at her concerts with signs saying she killed Kurt, and demand Seattle police re open the case with the real evidence

It's been almost 2 years since "Kurt's mom was in Courtney's payroll" for the last time. If Wendy thought Kurt didn't kill himself she'd be bitching and taking legal action.
I know Don and Jenny, Kim, Brieann, Chad, Mindi, James, Mari, Judy, Janis and Clark, Chuck and a few other relatives believe Kurt killed himself. Only Leland believes otherwise. Of this list, only Kim and Brieann have been financially supported by Courtney. What about the rest?

i hate when people say that kurt killed himself because there was a suicide note.in fact that wasn't a suicide note.that note was for the fans.that was written by kurt but it was a retirement note because he wanted to leave nirvana.courtney love said she had another note and that she burnt it because kurt told her to burn it.in fact kurt was off drugs.michael de witt was the one who drugged kurt and shot kurt in the face.kurt best friend was involved too.he knew where the gun was to kill kurt.
