@fspilot1000 Ahh...that makes sense. Also a great airplane :) And Air France doesn't fly through Denver either so I guess the A340 is the only four engine plane there. Maybe DIA will someday see the 747-8 from Lufthansa - I really wanna see that masterpiece in action :)
@TurboExpo1 -- almost the longest.... the new 747-8 is almost one meter longer... and the An-225 is maybe 9 meters longer.. but the 600 is longer than the 747-400.
Wow worth the watch thanks for the upload. DIA can be a rough ride when the wind picks up like that. Seems like that baby was running low on fumes and he needed it on the ground asap, still thats a rough one.
Megalolz. Did I ever claim I was a pilot, you idiot ? If you don't know how to explain anything, then don't post, dip shit. It would be a reasonable start to your sorry life. Have a nice day.

@Pro1331 The reason why such a big a/c landed flying so fast is that DIA is at an higher elevation that any average airport, hence the need for a/c to use a longer runway and land at higher speed... I think DIA is at around 1500 if not 1800m asl...
Beautiful aircraft, rough landing! Im flying out to Colorado springs beginning of june, with delta. Im so excited to be out there. one of my favorite places to go. Ive seen the lufthansa a340 taking off, its incredible. 5/5

My son love the tail cam in the 600. I love that you can get a day's exercise just from walking from business to the tail and back.

is it just me or was the pilot a bit overspeed....?

A346 looked hard to land, Is the very long distance from the landing gear make the pilot difficult to estimate the landing flare?
A346 is longest aircraft?

It's a rough but perfect landing!
The smoothiest landing isn't always the best one, the safietiest is.
You can hear it was a stormy day, so you touch down a bit harder - thats pretty normal..

Try using a tripod next time. Couldn't even enjoy what could have been a 'great video' because of all the camera movement.

Airbus pilots seem to flare a lot more than boeing, a lot of A330 and A340 vids I see, the flare is almost 7.5 degrees, anyways, amazing vid

looks like a wind shear or downdraft shortly before touchdown....could be possible by the looks of the clouds you see in the sky....

It's safer to land a bit harder than usual in windy conditions. It gives the turbulence less time to fuck you up.

@Pro1331 I completely agree; due to the windy Denver conds. it was abs. correct to grip the runway harder!

thefsxflyer 2 years ago
Yes it is a beautiful aircraft!
It is scheduled at about 4PM Rocky Mountain Time, but usually doesn't show up until a quarter after 4.

Cool. I need to find a time and go out to Denver and see it. 1 time I saw a Lufthy 747 fly over my house around 3:30
thefsxflyer 2 years ago
Awesome! That must have been when LH operated the 747 to Frankfurt instead of the 340-600.

Ya, I think it was 3 years? maybe, maybe longer.

Yup that would have been when! Glad you like the video.
