@WarpathFishing Great vid you guys slayed it. Was this in the keys? I noticed you had to stop the reel to remove the lights. Instead, try using the water activated deep drop lights that have a snap swivel. Tie a small floss loop where you want the light to be on the wind on, then attach the light to the loop via rubber band. Clip the snap swivel to the wind on. When your reeling and the light hits the first rod guide the band breaks and the light slides to the hook so you never stop the reel.
Well, I hope when you brag about the sword you caught that you include " I winched it up with an electric winch reel". If your handiecapped I'd say ok.
I'd say your gaffing sucks also, you don't galf a fish in the nuts.
While I'm at it how can you disrespect such a gladiator by puching it in the eye with your fist??
No wonder people want to ban sworfishing and you just add fuel to the fire.
Next time fight the gladiator standup, get your harness on and your finger off the electric button...
@JessCarey1 Not sure if this vid is in the keys but at least up here in Ft. Lauderdale/ Miami area these daytime fish are caught on the bottom from 1600 to 2000 feet down. Add scope to the line from a steady 3 knot current and you can easily have half a mile of line out, not to mention the 12 lbs of rebar holding your bait to the bottom. I seriously doubt you have the time/patience/ability to haul your bait up and down more than a couple times a day. BTW who wants to ban swordfishing?
