No it is from about 1930 or the 1940'''''s radio's were huge and heavy and very hard to move due to the tubes in them.
I remember my first transistor radio and my first boombox and I now have a Ipod believe me it is much easier to carry around.
When this music was on the air I was in jr high such a great time in my life.
