the month begins counting at 0 thats why you need to put 11 instead of 12.

I'm using flash cs4 and when minutes is less than 10 e.g. min < 10. my counter down freezes every min and seconds doesn't work any ideas?

It tells you what the Actionscript lines do yes, but he doesn't explain how he references everything on the stage in the script.

A way to compress those two things is to add and event listener every time flash enters a frame. Not as the frames in a timeline but how ever many frames per second it is going. Then you make the code on frame 1 a function and whatever you name that function is to be triggered by the event listener.

I have Adobe CS3 Extended, can I still make count downs with it, or do I have to get Flash cs3(4)?
