@Aerensiniac There are two points during your video that you cover fluid up with blocks, and then mine the blocks which seems to remove the fluid. Have they patched this in any way? I've tried to do the same with water, block it over and then mine the blocks, but the water always reappears. Awesome video btw, thanks for any help.

@XDJyGXD Nop, tools dont break in terraria. Unless you throw them in lava, but even then only below blue quality. Not sure about that last part... well, dont keep your equipment in lava, then it wont break.

@Aerensiniac Lol! I bet he meant stop-motion mining. Stop-motion is a film technique where the subject is moved a tiny bit, and then a snapshot is taken, then moved a bit more, and another shot is taken etc etc. All the shots make up the movie.

Although this is more like time-lapse than stop-motion :p

Great video! I used to make them out dirt, then stone brick walls (So I wouldn't destroy my old channels) and then out of glass since that cannot be destroyed with a pickaxe. Great fun!

@goswami dont fight the eye he is anoying and hard unless you have max life, a minishark and one hell load of healing potions (not lesser healing potions) the worm boss is very easy if you kill it correctly. it drops 10 times more stuff and it can be spawned from shadow orbs giving you a chance to get stuff first as long as you have a.) a flail of any sort OR vile powder B.) good ears (turn off the music and turn sound to 100) C.) about 20 healing potions you will be fine just use them correctly

@goswami Dynamite, which you can find in underground chests, can be used to gather both meteorite and hellstone - but I wouldn't try the latter with gold or worse gear. You can summon meteorites without being able to mine ebonstone by either using more dynamite or by using the purification powder sold by the dryad.

Great tutorial, i have a 1x1 chute for water and a 1x1 for lava on both sides of my mining shaft, it doesn't take much longer to build than a regular 5x5 mining shaft, and really helps! thanks!

Its a 10x speed up so you can calculate, but i would say that unless you play around too much with the pools, it should be ~30 minutes.

Kind of too much running around involved for my taste. Filling buckets and stuff, then bringing them up to your house, then doing the same thing again... Even if its not "unlimited" obsidian, thumbs up for the splitter. I liked that idea great deal.

This is a method even low geared people can do.

Underworld can get you killed with the best of armor and equipment, so unless you like to do it hardcore, i would refrain from it.

@Aerensiniac yeah but you see, obsidian is only good for 2 things, crafting the skull(and u only need 20) and for combining it with hellore, so basically if u have shit gear it will still wont help u at all since farming the ore is the hard part

Depends. I have bought up hellstone with the gear you see in the video, which is silver.

If you know how imps work, you can snatch up quite some ore before you die. Obsidian skulls are pretty helpful with that cause you get fire block immunity and +10 armor (for 5 pieces).

Other than that, i had fun doing the video.

I think if you put water on lava rather than vice versa the obsidian would not get wasted.

My idea: I found a 800 ft deep pool of water, and i proceeded to dig another 800 feet under it to flood the Underworld. Much fun was to be had riding the waterfall.
