I just ordered the hs200 from newegg, can you change the position of the picture up and down with the remote or does it just have the front, rear, and ceiling settings?
I am considering buying one of these very soon, but just wanted to know how long have you had it? how often did you use it? and how often did you have to change the lamp in it? I am only asking because people have told me that with these smaller cheaper projectors you will have to change the lamp in them a lot and sometimes they can be as expensive as the projector! really want to know because am very keen on buying this projector! Thanks!
@kizzmufc95 It has a 36,000 hour bulb life. Who told you, you have to change a bulb? Its LED so there really is no "bulb", it doesnt have to heat up, and you can watch it all day and all night without having issues. Watch the vids on my channel, i answer all your questions and more. Thats why i made them, because I had the same questions.
I am definately considering buying this projector ,the resolution has me a bit worried though as far as the low lumen that really wont bother me considering i have optoma pt 100(only 50 lumen AT MOST).
@pumpkinhead583 Well, if you dont like it, Amazon has an awesome return policy. Ive had it for over a year and I still like it. Its was the best thing for the price at the time. I would never even consider getting a PJ with a bulb so... LG all the way!
i wil keep it in mind about the newer edition...when you play mw2 do you c pixels? Or is it smooth...i cant tell bij the youtube movies...your movie quality on youtube is great doe...but Is it like a HD ready lcd?
@cjocd WELL.... i dont play MW2. I know, its terrible. Most of the ps3 games I have are older but they still look good. The ps3 game vid I made is very accurate in clarity. Obviously the camera doesnt view the pj 100% perfectly but it is still very good.
@cjocd I watch it in 16:9 only. I still use it on a daily basis and i still love it. If you have the money, go for the new LG, but if not, this one is awesome and I would definitely recommend it over and over. Feel free to message me with questions or concerns whenever.
Hey. Nice video you got here. Better than the other "reviews" which can't really give you an impression of what the picture actually looks like cause their camera sucks.
I'm looking into getting one of these as well. The problem is, it found out it was only 800x480. How does the image's sharpness compare to LCD TVs at least? I'm into console gaming, so image sharpness is quite important to me. Also, just wondering how large the image is 6 feet away.
My bad. 800x600 from the spec sheet. But effective pixel use at 16:9 ratio would be 800x480 anyway. So LOL @ that.
Anyway, I'm actually looking to upgrade from my LCD TV which is 32". I was just wondering if I should go for sheer size. 50" is pretty much large enough for me. It's just a shame there are a few LED projectors on the market. Ain't going for traditional projectors with bulbs cause they're particularly a hassle.
@MariaSharapovaIsLove I definitely agree with you on the bulbed pjs. Personally, I cant morally spend $2000 on a tv... but thats just me. Ive had the LG for some time now and I still love it. Its all in the eye of the beholder right? right. Im going to be making more vids soon so keep an eye out :)
@dhiljithDJ 85" at 10' is the biggest I can make it right now. There are people who have it as large as 200" but it doesnt look great. Im am moving Sept 15 and Im planning on making more vids of the entire setup. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. i do my best to help everyone.
Would you make a video showing how the image looks with all possible illumination? Turn on all lights, open all you can windows, do it in a very light day and time... Anyway, thanks from Spain for your great videos!
@adrianatovick I can do that! I can tell you right now that during the day, if all of my blinds are open, you will not be able to see the picture at all. If my blinds are closed, then you get a good picture at any time of day.
well anyway, im so thankfull for ur vids and ur help, all other reviews about this pj is total crap.. ur ones are the best and filmed with good hd camera.. thanks
@lisij9 No problem at all!!! Thats the reason i started doing this! I couldnt find any reviews on the pj so i had to take a huge chance getting it. I really appreciate the kind words too, its not very common people on youtube really appreciate anything lol. If you have any more questions or concerns let me know!
she thinks that this would be a bad idea to sell tv, but i think i can easily wanish hers wishes once and for all.. and about those changes, well the pj will make changes ONLY for the better.. hell 80' is so f.. owsome.. sorry for my spelling, im russian :) it is bad that u dont have a cod mw2 in hand, perhaps you have any other action game, wheres is a scene with lot of explosions movements and all other sort of things? i saw ur far cry vid, but its nothing compared to mw2...
actualy i am like you, i was surfing around the web about this projector for a year, and finnaly hit on ur page, i was so impresed about ur vids, they answered to all my questions i was like no matter what i want it.. firstly i was looking at the samsung pb400 i think, but it hadent had a hdmi connection, and after i saw a lg hs200, i wanted ever since.. and im telling you, i would sell anything to get it, the main reason is my wife thats stops me,
hey im thinking to buy this projector, i play alot on my ps3, and i do have and 32" samsung lcd tv, and curently dont have enough cash to buy a projector, so im willing to sell the lcd , would you recommend me to do that? my room is quite bright during the day, compared to yours its a bit more light in my one... also if you can or even have a modern warfare 2, could you demonstrate how smooth with it play, will it lag a lot??? dont want to lose my lcd , but hey, if the led projector is better
@lisij9 The games wont "lag", if there is going to be any problems at all, there will most likely be pixelation. I havent had any problems with that so far from my ps3. I honestly would feel right telling you to sell your tv because of my personal opinions of this PJ. You have to do your research and be sure that this is something you really want and also make sure it will fit your lifestyle. It sounds very stupid but you have to make alot of changes when you get a pj. They are not like TVs.
@lisij9 I took a chance on it and when i did, I was happy. The reason I make these videos is to help people see what they are going to get and to help ease their anxiety about getting one of these. In good conscience, I cant tell you to sell your tv or even suggest it. Not because I think you wont like the pj, but because i have a different opinion than you. Ill do my best to answer your questions and help you out as much as I can just like i do for everyone else. I dont have CODMW2, sorry.
First, Thanks for this great review, this realy helps to see what Power this little Beast have, but, i'm not sure witch one i should buy, the lg200 so it's called in Europe, or the LG HX300.
@MysterioEffect I didnt think the HX300 was out yet. I would get the newest model thats out, so far. If you have to wait a bit, it would be worth it. Newer is always better :) and thank you for the kind words!
@MysterioEffect $900!!!!!!! I would think twice about that personally. if you have the money to get it, then... get it, but for me! hell no! I want the most bang fro my buck, I cant imagine the HX300 is that much better looking.
@juancitox haha! nice! I was thinking of it from my setup. I would have to do what you did if i wanted to play it i guess, or hang it from the ceiling. Full size golf would be fun.
another superb review...But in momnet you are close 2 the projector and I have heard quite a noise (hiss sound)..is it becouse of proximity of your cam_mic or is it reallz that loud (coulldnt be..its LED ffs) =]
@vanzemljak For me the projector is very quiet. Unless your planning on watching it with little to no volume, your not going to hear it. I have heard people complain about it, but it had to have been VERY close to them. I couldnt believe it when people were saying that. Its not an issue 1 bit for me. It does make a noise... but my fish tank is twice as loud. Even thats "quiet" to me... I honestly think people were looking for thing to complain about when i read that forum...
@vanzemljak the only flaw your going to find is that it will go out of date soon. Just like all other electronics do though... Cellphones, tv, home appliances, everything. I honestly couldnt justify buying a Flatscreen TV or a bulbed projector after seeing this. The quality of picture, quality of machine, ease of use, everything was just perfect. You owe it to yourself to at least try it out. Amazon.com has a very good return policy. Ill make a video for you right now.
great video i got a q for ya. Some people are saying anything past 80 inchs gets out of focus is that true.also river monsters is a great show. thanks for your help man
@paulcastellano1 To be honest, its all up to the user and what you think is an acceptable quality. There is a guy who is using this exact model at BBQs, projecting @ 230 inches, onto his house. I would doubt that looks "good" it might be cool but not good. I have seen 100" with awesome quality here on youtube. It was some dude playing Forza on PS3. Unfortunately, mine is as large as my space will permit me to make it! STILL! An 80+ inch tv for daily viewing! Cant get much better than that....
looks good to me what did it cost to buy it
