I think that the Cycle is very original. The fact that it resembles the Lord of the Rings is a tribute, I think to J.R.R Tolkien. Haven't you ever wanted to continue you favorite child hood story. Thats all Paolini is trying to do. He wants you to see the similarity.

The cycle isn't original in the smallest sense of the word. The "Tribute" is outright plagiarism in Tolkien's world building effort, and the whole plot is Star Wars in an ill-planned medieval fantasy setting which has too much random events and pointless characters.

in the beginning the land/galaxy was ruled and protected by noble dragon riders/jedi knights, until they were betrayed by one of their own, and an evil empire was set up. a princess named arya/leia steals something of value to the emperor and is chased down by his right-hand man, but she manages to send the item to the spine/tatooine, a remote part of the empire. from there it comes into the possession of a young boy named eragon/luke, who lives with his uncle.
brom/obi won is an old man from nearby who tells eragon/luke stories from before the empire and will eventually give eragon/luke a sword/lightsaber. it isn't long before the empire traaces the object to eragon/luke's home and his family is killed. he and the old man hook up to go find the varden/rebellion. brom/obi won starts teaching eragon/luke along the way they decide to save the princess from the beginning. they save her, but the old man is killed in the process.
they race for the home of the varden/rebellion, fighting off the emperor's urgal/tie fighters. they reach the rebels, but it is apparent that war is imminent. the empire has tracked them and plan to destroy them. during a big battle, eragon/luke is almost killed by the emperors righthand man durza/vader but manages to win the battle due to a timely distraction by his friends saphira-arya/han-chewy. eragon/luke is a hero, but victory isn't yet won, and its obvious the empire will strike back
i'll give my opinions wherever i want. if the people who watch this video truly are paolini fans, then they won't be influenced by my comments. it's not my fault that certain fans out there just can't take a little criticism.

just so you realize...the name daniel has been around for a while. the invented names in stories that you wouldn't use to name your kids unless you were a fanatic should not be recycled except by the author himself. now, i'm not accusing paolini of anything, but there is a major difference between inspiration and plagarism. i DO think that some of the names he used were completely and totally original, but some are very close to names you would find in other fantasy stories.

Brom's is eragon's dad, Roran fucks Katrina who he and eragon rescue after they kill the razac. eragon finds sloan in the razacs den with his eyes picked out and banishes him to elsmeara. brom is eragon's dad. orik becomes the new dwarf king. eragon cures elva but not completely. roran gets whipped. nasuada ends up cutting herself with another black dude while in her underwear. oromis and glaedr get killed by murtagh who becomes possessed by galbatorix. eragon gets a new sword calld brisingr.
the paralels to nthe starwars story isnt new... well i dont mind it, i know a lot of storys basing on other stories, i think a goo sory is made by a god atmosphere, and i like the atmosphere of eragon;)

The Dragon Riders ruled the LAND. Galaxy is Sci-fi. Eragon's father is not actually who everyone thinks he is, hes not evil at all ;). But yea Eragon's uncle is killed like that, and he does rescue an elven princess. There are some plot similarities, but the fact that Star Wars is Sci-fi makes a big difference.

Does anyone else think that Eragon, the movie, was kind of Underwhelmig after actually having READ Eragon?...I know most movies based on books are horrible but look at the LOTR series...I hope they take their time on Eldest and really try to implement more of the story and key plot twists.

I dont think Eragon will be leader of the Varden because he has way to much business. Leading the Varden it totally different than fighting for them. I dont think Eragon would be able to handle it because he has to focus (first) on rescuing Katrina, he has to do it without the army of the Varden, who will lead the Varden in the time of his absence and then there are the elves who would instruct Eragon into further training. Cause right now, with magic. Eragon is nowhere near Murtagh or galba.
i never said Nasuda would die before Eragon could handle it. Brisingr is a big book, and i find that deaths usually occer near the end.
oh and about murtagh and the king, Oromis has'nt told him everything he knows yet, and its obvious that Eragon is like no other rider in history, he learnd stuff years before he was logically suposed to.
the death is gonna end up being oromis it can't be anyone else murtagh has to live, arya has to live, roran will end up the new rider probably and it cant be galbatorix cuz he is the main antagonist, so it will end up being oromis and orik probs... (just my speculation)

they race for the home of the varden/rebellion, fighting off the emperor's urgal/tie fighters. they reach the rebels, but it is apparent that war is imminent. the empire has tracked them and plan to destroy them. during a big battle, eragon/luke is almost killed by the emperors righthand man durza/vader but manages to win the battle due to a timely distraction by his friends saphira-arya/han-chewy. eragon/luke is a hero, but victory isn't yet won, and its obvious the empire will strike back

just so you realize...the name daniel has been around for a while. the invented names in stories that you wouldn't use to name your kids unless you were a fanatic should not be recycled except by the author himself. now, i'm not accusing paolini of anything, but there is a major difference between inspiration and plagarism. i DO think that some of the names he used were completely and totally original, but some are very close to names you would find in other fantasy stories.

The Dragon Riders ruled the LAND. Galaxy is Sci-fi. Eragon's father is not actually who everyone thinks he is, hes not evil at all ;). But yea Eragon's uncle is killed like that, and he does rescue an elven princess. There are some plot similarities, but the fact that Star Wars is Sci-fi makes a big difference.

the names of places are very similar. gil-ead(gilgalad), farthen-dur (barad-dur and many other towers). actually i DO sorta think that the name eragon isn't very original and sounds very much like aragorn, though it drives me crazy when people mispronounce the two. but, regardless, i DO sort-of like the books, and many people have tried to copy tolkien's IDEA. so i'm not saying he's the only one. some of the names are original, but many of them are similar to that of the silmarillion as well.

Does anyone else think that Eragon, the movie, was kind of Underwhelmig after actually having READ Eragon?...I know most movies based on books are horrible but look at the LOTR series...I hope they take their time on Eldest and really try to implement more of the story and key plot twists.

I dont think Eragon will be leader of the Varden because he has way to much business. Leading the Varden it totally different than fighting for them. I dont think Eragon would be able to handle it because he has to focus (first) on rescuing Katrina, he has to do it without the army of the Varden, who will lead the Varden in the time of his absence and then there are the elves who would instruct Eragon into further training. Cause right now, with magic. Eragon is nowhere near Murtagh or galba.

TBH yeah maybe Eldest and Eragon wasn't as good as lotr but you bet your ass it kicked that bitch wtv her name ass shit was who wrote harrypotter to kingdom come.I'm not sure if his books will be as good or maybe even better than lotr but we'll have to find out on 20th september.

actually i think the inheritance cycle is better than both of thouse.
LOTR is written in a loborious drone that bored the crap out of me (i'm only 14 dam it)
as for Harry Potter i think it was kinda dorky
i mean a fantasy adventure where guys fight with magical twigs insted of sorwds?
course YOU probably think inheritace is dorky but that's just a matter of opinion. i think one thing we can agree on thogh is that the movies of both Harry and inheritance suck!
