  • Oh how I totally love this song! Man alive! But I sure wish the album version was available! Not that the live version is not totally awesome because it rocks but the album version you can really feel the power in this song! Oh just remembering how I would listen to this song after a break up back in my teen years. It is so funny how seriously us girls take our relationships in our teen years and when a break up happens we need a good angry song that says how we feel and this song was it! Yeah!

  • A haunting song What is and what it could be.

  • wow. better than the album?

  • What a voice....I love Lou

  • saw second tour spellbinding

  • Sind halt die alten Zeiten !!

  • Best foreigner song ever!

  • great singin Lou,great

  • i guess this was the last 'great' Foreigner LP. I loved it to bits and miss Mr Gramme

( although Hanson isnt too bad, he'll never replace Lou! )

  • Best ever song from foreigner....and yes Lou is Foreigner

  • Lou is one of the best rock vocalists of all time. It's a joke that Mick calls his cover band Foreigner. There's no Foreigner without Lou.

  • One of my all time favorite songs.

  • Quite strong voice

  • No more hiding in yesterday

    'Cause yesterday's gone

  • Cool!My favourite love song!

  • That was yesterday-the best song.Like it more then Yesterday of Beatles. My Russian opinionDo not call lead singer LG-like that Korean shit.He is Lou Gramm Awesome

  • good

  • @boggadee07 Dude I am not sure what you mean about Foreigner being a great under rated band. I am not bashing but I never remember them as a underrated band. When I was growing up they got a whole bunch of air play in the late 70's and early 80's they was one of the most popular rock bands of that era.---Roll Tide

  • I wish I was Lou's sweat towel.

  • i fucking love this song

  • ROCKY RADIO:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

  • love this song the best....roxy fresno why does he sweat on this vid

  • oi foreigner....gia volta sto dasos i sti paralia...lavomenos...na thes na sai etsi....na goustareis

  • SING IT LOU! GREAT SONG! GREAT BAND!

  • i love you foreigner

  • simply awesome! or they just make it sound that way

and yesterday does live on deep in my heart

  • simply awesome! or they just make it sound that way

  • simply awesome!

  • It sickens me what happened to Lou Gramm with the tumor and all. God Bless him..

  • Lou Gramm had a tumor!? I didn't know that.

  • Comment removed

  • @happyoke13 Yea, he had a brain tumor back in like 1996 or so. The recovery and necessary drugs made him gain alot of weight and he lost alot of his range. He also lost some of his muscle control. Very sad..

  • amazing, especially for a live version

  • Foreigner forever...

  • bogg they were never under rated. They were huge!

  • Lou Gramm Forever. Lou is Foreigner... Definitely!

  • Estimated friend, if you want to listen again to this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - it looks for his direction URL for Google (scribe Musica para Mimos in Google)-. The best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is going to please you, is very good ...!!!

  • Amazing song and to hear it live thank you.

  • Foreigner is one of my favorite bands and Lou is a great singer but just for the record Mick Jones founded the band from the start. HE is Foreigner.

  • Always LOU!!!!!!ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!xoxoxoxoxox

  • OMG, I had forgotten about this song, so beautiful yet somehow got lost in the archives.

  • I didn't know that Foreigner sounded so good in concert. I wonder what Lou Gramm's voice sounds like today. I wonder if it's all blown out like some classic rockers.

  • @VWSven1 Lou had a tumor so that is the reason about his weight. So take it easy to judge about his health. Eine fettsack!!!

  • lou gramm is foreigner not the new singer

  • @MrMigutie As someone said-foreigner is now a Lou Gramm cover band

  • absolute magic...

  • Ich liebe Foreigner! ;~) Gruß BigKingIlling

  • foreigner is not the same without lou.....still one of my favorite bands but i miss lou

  • love this video please come to Fresno, Ca

  • Concert lighting was such shit back then .......

  • He sounds tired and empty, think the guy needs a break.

  • The only remaining original is Mick Jones . The rest are just hired hands there for a paycheck . Not the same group since Lou Grahm left . Just my opinion , but how many hits have they had since then ?

  • the studio version is much better

  • What an EPIC voice. Talk about carrying a song.....

  • That Is Damn MUSIC!!!!!! Those are the kind of musics that make you feel alive.

  • QUE ESTA PASANDO CON LA MUSICA HAY TANTOS Y TANTOS GRUPOS QUE HACIAN BUENAS CANCIONES Y AHORA EN LA ACTUALIDAD QUE TIPO DE ARTISTAS TENEMOS, LA VERDAD PURA BASURA, ESTE TIPO DE GRUPOS COMO FOREIGNER, JOURNEY, ASIA, ETC ETC, ERAN DE LO MEJOR OJALA Y ALGUN DIA EL VERDADERO ROCK RENAZCA

  • and who we held, and wish i woundnt had let go!

  • Anyone know about vevo? I'm guessing it's part of google

  • Anyone know what this vevo is, I'm guessing it's part google

  • another winning song from the masters!

  • Lou Gramm, what can I say, an idol of mine. A singer's singer.

  • that was yesterday..such souvenirs..good ones..if only when closing the eyes, they

    could be here again..

  • Una meravigliosa ballad firmata Lou Gramm, cuore e anima dei super Foreigner!

  • This was always a quality group lou gramm mick jones great musicians

  • oh my love we share in our missing since the day we parted but remember love lives on in our hearts know this we are together in our hearts yours forever sm my dear louis

  • I have always absolutely loved this song! This song takes me back to some really great memories. This is such an awesome song from such an awesome band! Such great memories come with this song, the best really! Such a great era to grow up in! Why it all had to change, I guess that is life but hard to let go of what we loved the most. I will always miss the 80's but I hold the memories tightly in my heart forever. Missing the 80's. 80's forever!!

  • @twinklebear22

Agreed, 100%. I tend to live in the past and wish so badly someone would create a time machine so we could just go back. Hearing songs like this is always bittersweet. It's nostalgic but also a sad reminder of what used to be.

  • @RockyBalboa7777 I couldnt agree with you more friend. You have said it all for sure!! I feel the same as you . you know, songs are the soundtracks of our lives and some songs remind us of times we wish had never ended and those times are mine for sure and yours too i see. Thanks for your comment. 80's forever in our hearts!!

  • you are so f inkin HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you eiko1975 this is one of my favorites , damn ,Love this live

  • un ricordo della mia giovane eta'

  • I thought Foreigner was a bit more thought of than they are actually, you know same time about as Supertramp/REO Speedwagon all the greats. The shite the bands spew out today, F/ME its ridiculous man. I have a daughter 5, and she loves all the old stuff, guess she heard me when she was growing up, listening and playing the guitar to the greats. Enjoy!!!.

  • Foreigner is such a great under rated band. They have been my favorite right from the beginning. When I was in High School I was part of a band. We covered Foreigner all the time. When we did them in a battle of the bands we won.

  • @boggadee07 Foreigner is not underrated. At least, not in the USA.

  • @boggadee07 God, this is my favorite song, ever. No joke. I tell my friends who my all-time favorite band is... they all nod and say... we know, we know... Foreigner. I'm 40 now, and I like everything from Tony Bennet to Avril Levigne, to Tool. Lou's voice has captivated me from the moment I heard "Cold as Ice."

  • @TheDing1701 I know how you feel, I am 40 now too and I miss this group very much. Great commentary of this excelent band. Cheers

  • Lou IS Foreigner. Anything less is karaoke.

  • @GaylordWinchester77: So it is!!!!! Well said!

  • @GaylordWinchester77 I agree but... that was yesterday

  • @GaylordWinchester77 Is Lou still the lead singer?

  • @mattc941 No, he was until 2002, now a gay called Kelly and whatever came and took THE KING'S place

  • @GaylordWinchester77

I was thinking the exact same thing as I was looking at and listening to the new lineup. Sorry, I could hear that in any run of the mill bar any weekend night. If it ain't Lou, it ain't Foreigner!

  • Good song.

  • the only thing I have to say about this a song: AN AWESOME SONG!!! A REAL CLASSIC =)

  • I picked -up FOREIGNER-CANT SLOW DOWN,I WAS SUPRISED THAT THE SOUND QUALITY WAS SLOW AND VOCALS WERE OF MICK JONES NOT LOU GRAMMS,WHAT HAPPENED TO TO ALL THE BAND MEMBERS?

  • RedEvangeline666- Yes,his voice is soulful. A rare quality......very nice... smooth.

  • ATTENTION FOREIGNER FANS!! Sunday, February 21 @ 9 am EST- Only on A&Es PRIVATE SESSIONS - Rock out as FOREINGER performs their mega hits Cold as Ice, Double Vision, Urgent, Waiting for a Girl Like You and Too Late!! Plus, special guest appearances from SAMMY HAGAR, MARK RONSON and OZZY OSBOURNE! Set your alarms and DVRs because you dont want to miss this!!!

  • He has such a soulful voice.

When I first heard a Foreigner song, I thought he was black. xD

  • @RedEvangeline666 He's a singer's singer...touch vocals.

  • "It's not the end of my world, just a slight change in plans"

  • I've watched this so many times...will never tire of it...amazing vocals live...WOW!

  • This is such a rockin' song from Foriegner!! I remember when this song came out. I was in 8th grade then and this song just touched my heart so deeply. Such meaningful lyrics behind this song. Todays music cant even come close or even touch yesteryear's music. This was the best era for music. The 80's music had real meaning behind it !! There will never be a time like this again but at least we have our memories and we still have this music. Missing the 80's!! 80's forever!!

  • Hey there juniebird72...I guess we do love the same music...commented on "promises promises" by naked eyes the other day...we have great taste. Lol

  • @trann39 yes I remember your comment the other day! Yes , we do have great taste in music now dont we?!! LOL Very cool indeed!!

  • Love this song by Lou, I do hope that even today in 2010 I still love his voice and music.I if I know he is going to be in concert near me NC I will go to his concert,so please keep me posted.

  • we need some studio versions please!

    farrrrr better

  • this so good

  • these guys came to winnipeg, about 5 years ago, i was 12 years old and didn't understand how lucky i was but, unfortunately lou gramm has lost his voice, and even the guitarest missed a few notes, but it was still pretty cool

  • Unfortunately, Gramm hasn't been in the band since 2003 so you witnessed Chaz West or possibly Kelly Hansen.

    Neither compare to him.

  • they did kick a lot of butts in the 80's...i was was very lucky 2 b there n see it in person! :)

  • the real band great stuff great vocals

    whats with the new band

its a cover band one origial member

    come on

would not waste a dime on it

  • He is soooo good! Love this song!

  • They kicked alot of butt in the 80's.

  • There most underrated song. A great one. Tells of the life we learn with and the life we live with.

  • totally agree! this song is incredible...their best and one of the best ever!

  • exactly

  • So nice to see a live performance of this song around the time it was recorded. Not only is this song beautiful and heart wrenching, but it is incredibly difficult to sing. Any list of greatest rock vocalists without Lou Gramm near the top is invalid.

  • That is what I have been telling my friends for years. I'm glad somebody gets it. Lou was truly on top of his game then. This is a Classic..

  • Lou Gramm has got to be the most underrated vocalist of all time. Most of his songs are very difficult to sing. They require power, range, soul, and he's got this vocal "squueze" and "punch" especially in the high head voice that is so difficult to emulate.

  • I half-agree with you - Lou Gramm is still considered as one of the best pop/rock voices for the last 30 years all around the world (not so underrated....) I'm daughter of a great musician, so I also know what is a GREAT SINGER such as LOU GRAMM !!!!

  • There's an awesome pre-Foreinger post of him posted too.

  • WELL SAID.

  • Did the keyboard player really miss the first chord? Oops... :)

  • Also at 1:54 and 2:05 ;-)

  • must have been jet lag! I was just there last week (not a musician, but for business) and found myself typing many typo errors. The brain/body gets all screwed up with severe time changes and in Japan it is 14 hours later compared to EST in NY.

  • more than once...i mean, i know it's live and nobody's perfect but those are pretty slow and easy note riffs that a NON-keyboard player could ace...especially if that's your only job...drugs or drunk, i guess

  • so young here! still got that baby fat cheeks... so cute!

  • In the 70's as a young young teenager, I was listening to Disco and Foreigner! Disco left but I am still listening to Foreigner...

  • still hitting the notes. amazing. sounds like the album!

  • Great song and great band of the 70's and 80's. love this music. Great lyrics.

  • una de las mas grandes canciones del rock

  • f*cking great; one of the best by Foreigner

  • This is such an amazing song. It never fails to make me feel something deep and special.

  • One of the most passionate rock voices of all time.

    God Bless Lou G

  • Love it! Love it! Love it!!!!!

Such a Beautiful Voice on Lou!!!!!

Thank you so very much for posting this!!!!!

    *smile*

  • i was sadly born too late to witness the great man himself. Lou Gramm and Mick Jones are Foreigner, easily one of the best singers of the 1970's 80's and 90's

  • Lou Gramm Rocks!!!!

  • What a wonderful memory that was, Lou Gramm will always be the best singer for Foreigner! So glad to see him in concert couple times, I hope he is doing well after his illiness.

  • I have to agree- Gramm is so much better - This new guy they have, he looks a bit cliche'd in his outfits and it all looks like he is lipsynching or impersonating.

  • i thought so as well, but then i saw them last night at PNC Park at "Skyblast". The new guy sounded just like a young Lou Gramm and Mick was on fire. It was constant energy and even though I miss Lou with them, the new guy (Kelly?) was outstanding

  • Long Live "Foreigner".

  • this song reminds me @ bells amusment park 1985 on the 1001 nights a ride that took you 100 foot in the air and back down tulsa ok

  • wish i'd got to see these live, lou gramms solo stuff is amazing aswell,

    'until i make u mine' gr8 song!

  • did lou ever tour solo cuz i would love to hear warmest rising sun live!!!!!

  • I forgot about this song, I went out to eat the other night and they were playing 80s music, What a great song, Lou Gramm is a hell of a singer, I wonder how his voice is today?

  • Lou Gramm great singer, an d all a Leyend

  • There's no video on here for this song?

  • Classic song, sounds better live. Why cant music come back from the 80s instead of this RAP CRAP. Worthless non musical trash that dubs from other artist.

  • PREACH IT BROTHER!! YES!!

  • Say buzz65, I'am here in Arizona. Pssss go to the corner grocery store where we used to kiss in behind the apples and pears. Where you had to walk out with a grocery bag between your legs. See you soon!

  • is all that the climate was not ideal being looked highly breathable and wind .- which is not good for the voice, throat .- Lou has a steel

  • This song reminds me of the girl I loved more than any other... Back in '85 we met when she was visiting Arizona... She was from Michigan, I flew back to go to her Senior prom with her as I had just graduated the year before. She eventually moved to Arizona where she became the one love that I will never forget...

Unfortunately our lives took us apart. I always hoped we'd somehow reconnect but it never materialized...

  • I know where you are coming from. I remember taking a girl that I loved to see these guys in 1985. We went our seperate ways after high school. Our lives never really crossed again. But when i hear this song, they cross again! You should try to reconnect, you never know!

  • again many thanks eiko 1975 for sharing this video - Understand why Lou Gramm is considered as one of the best voices for the last 30 years !!!

  • Hi Eiko,do you have the original video...Can you send me? I like this song...Thanks..

  • Thanks for the upload Eiko! this is a new one to me... Lou's voice is strong here

  • Hacía años que no escuchaba esta canción y ahora al hacerlo no he podido sino llenar mi cabeza de recuerdos, grandes recuerdos de momentos, lugares, personas, en fin... that was yesterday

  • very good for a live version

  • Lou gramm the Best <3

  • Increíble tema.

  • en el intermedio hay 2 notas k le fallan al tecladista,,, este tema es puro feeling ,

  • many thanks for sharing, so splendid song, thanks essentially to LOU GRAMM's so powerful and magic voice !!!!

  • Haven't seen this one before. Lou still great though. Thanks for the upload eiko.
