  • I've never heard Paul tear it up other than what I've heard on the radio like on Pam Tillis - Memphis. This is some badass playin!

  • What are these crashes? sound really nice

  • This is my cousin i know him really good!

  • he misses the timing at the break in 0:46 :P

  • I am reasonably sure Paul Leim also did session work for some Lionel Richie recordings.. so yes, he really did get around and wasn't just a country drummer.

  • Those toms are the wettest, hottest things I've ever heard.

  • mother... i really underrated him because he was form nashville hehe. i though he was only country

  • @Lexiloi28 you lucky **** I've always wanted to meet him and you sound so nonchalant about it!

  • this is the same kit he used when he filled in for Ronnie Tutt on the Elvis tour, i believe.

  • Was he the drummer that played the Knight Rider's theme? Cause he made a perfect job on charlie...

  • sweet cymbals

  • Can some1 please tell me what the name is of what he plays bitween 0:03 and 0:06 please?

i know Dave Grohl uses this technique alot but whats the name of it?

    Bye! :D

  • triplets divided between the feet and hands. rlb lrb rlb lrb etc.

  • nice, he tunes his snare really low, listen to teddy campbell use the paul leim signature snare, totally cranked up,made me want the snare.

  • Those cymbal sound so incredible!!!

  • Agreed. I am normally a Zildjian and Sabian man myself, so maybe Paiste is getting better (or my hearing is getting "older"...)

  • Paul is a great drummer and person. He is simply one of the best studio drummers around.

  • fat toms. sounds sweet.

  • I like the fat sound of those drums. I wasn't crazy about some of the cymbal sounds, though. Cymbals can be weird, though. The same cymbal can sound great in one situation and hurtin in another.

I've got a lot of respect for the Nashville guys like Leim. It would be as cool to watch him groove as it is to watch a solo....

  • I have been searching for Paul Leim gear. Anyone know what make of Yamaha he gigs with and/or records with? Looks like a recording custom, but I am not sure. P.L. rocks!

  • Go to the yamahadrums website. His setup can be found there.

  • @kneedragger81 i know that he has his own paul leim signature snare drum !

  • love the ways his kit sounds!

  • legend.

  • That pretty much says it ALL!!!

  • that was pretty coo!

  • Sounds amazing.

  • Nice Tunning !!

  • That kit sounds beautiful.

  • what is he using for crashes?

  • they look and sound like paiste giant beats

  • He's one of the best!
