If you are still naive enough to believe drug tests are infallible and that Olympians, powerlifters, and thousands of athletes do not use steroids actively... well, there's no hope for you. Olympic athletes are constantly being caught for steroid use. The ones that aren't simply have ways around the tests. Many drugs are untraceable or not yet banned.

  • *ahem*... steroids... *ahem*

  • @6amache Naww, I think a human can naturally pick up a quarter ton and throw it over it's head.

  • They changed weight divisions. You hear different "reasons" why. The earlier lifters were on substances--yeah--and the current leaders aren't? Hard to believe. They changed weight divisions because no one today was going to equal earlier lifters. However, this Aramnau is a phenomenon. Will he beat Zacharevich's records? Of course Z weighed 109.5kg when he jerked 250.5 and maybe the same snatching the nearly easy looking 210. Perepechenov, Sagir are more recent greats comparing to earlier

  • fucking cheat, he always starts his jerk while the bar still has momentum from the clean, for those of you that know the rules it must be stationary before you jerk otherwise its a no lift, and the fuck the judges for white lighting this

  • @freedomsoldier187 I agree this should have been red lighted. Not that I have lifted that much but even with lower weights using the bar oscillation helps a lot. Worth 5kg at least.

  • @freedomsoldier187 It looks to me like there's a very brief pause where his legs fully lock out after the clean.

  • @UDrich1985 Official world record is 237kg wich is done in 2005 I think.

  • @DBBMino

I was watching when he did this. They had just done away with the world standard which was 242 and had Denis Gottfried listed as the record holder with 235 so when Aramnau did 236 it was assumed to be a new world record and they announced it as such at the time. Only later did the IWF go back and say that Tsagaev's 237 would hold.

  • i got chills , that's awesome man, hearing that crowd erupt on the worlds biggest stage.

  • agree ErNBuRn1. very:)

  • this is not world record wr is 263kg

  • What? yeah my video was lying... The guy in the my video hit 236kg WHICH IS CURRENTLY THE WR for the 105 KG weight class.

263kg is the WR for the 105+ weight class. Please get your facts straight before you post.

  • you right

  • silly ppl lol, i think all time wr for 105 is 242.5 kg unnoficially lol

  • they got ride of the world standard, and i believe the IWF made a mistake and listed the wr at 235 so aramnau did 236, but i think they changed it to 237.5 which was done by Alan tsagaev

  • Wtf! Wasn't Tsagaev busted for doping when he did that 237(,5) in Kiev 2004?

  • not he was busted in an out of comp test between kiev and athens

  • Yeah, you're right. Saw it on the IWF webpage later. Now, he is suspended for life though...

  • @EmilRinse If I am correct Tsagaev is suspended for 2 years.

  • @DBBMino No, he's suspended for life. Busted 2004 and 2008.

  • 242.5 is a 105 + KG WR not a 105- kg WR... DUDE!

  • wow it got loud in there real quick
