OK first of all, this song came out before MCR released "Na na na." And second, looks have nothing to do with the quality of the music. This song has a cooler vibe to it, while MCR has a pop-punk quality to their song. So it's a matter of what type of music you listen to. Personally i think it's below MCR to steal other band's riffs.

First thing, it cracks me up that a good percentage of the comments on here are about MCR. Second, there is a slight difference in the riff compared to MCR. Plus saying they ripped off a riff is like saying they ripped off a note or the time signature sometimes it just happens on accident.

Nirvana nicked the "Come As You Are" riff from Killing Joke's "eighties" and more than one report from analysists that said so, but it came to nothing, and I'm not sure anyone really knows why. @cman76760 The chorus of "Na Na Na" changes keys and the intro riff isn't heard, or it's somewhere in the background, but the rhythm is the same. The note intervals also change when they hit the chorus.

They got together after 9/11 because they wanted their music to change lives. For most of their career they traveled around in a van and had no money.
