There are worse places to live. Bulford in Wiltshire springs to mind. However, let's hope in ten years time kids view this video and don't believe that it ever looked like this...

There have been a couple of improvements to Aycliffe since the video was made - the derelict petrol station demolished and now the temporary site of the library (plus some extra car parking space), the empty Somerfield store is now Wilkinsons.
It's already on a couple of facebook groups, 'I Love Newton Aycliffe' and 'You Know You Grew Up In Newton Aycliffe If/When...', check them out, I think you'll like them...

good vid but i wdnt hav called it lost in aycliffe coz at first yur in the carpark near the library then u were walkin down tha ramp from there, then u were filmin the side ov tesco, the poilce station nd blakes then part ov the rec. nd i couldnt recognise the bit after thatbut then it was simpasture then finally, a snippit ov the industrial estate... but still quite eerie nd good :)

the councillers and mps of aycliffe need to be nuked as theyre certainly lost in aycliffe if you look at the clip of the town centre.lets face it therye only in power as half the constituancy didnt bother voting as there all full of shit!!and have you read the letters in the newton news lately,some of them really need to get a hobby....like fix the town up!

Well Sugar Hill hasn't changed at all since I was there 30 years ago! I still have dreams about it and would love to go back (to visit!) someday.
If you use facebook theres a group called "memories of Sugar Hill" it would be great if you could paste this video up there!
