I met him once in the UK, at BBC studios in the late 80s. He was very classy, polite and had tremendous charisma. He brought great style and panache to lead the Dynasty troupe, and deserves a place in TV history as one of the greats. Thanks John, for all the hours of enjoyment you provided for viewers over the years.

Thank you LB, I knew I could depend on you today. Our grand Carrington Patriarch made it to 92. Although Joan's was and still is my favorite character, she would have had nothing to do without him to play off of.

He had style, class and elegance. He and Joan continue to remind me to all ways bring beauty into the world, and you will be remembered and thanked for it when your gone.
