I'm just not a fan of the "pre-title" sequences - for DW anyway. I mean, it works fine for shows like Star Trek, Sliders, and Babylon 5 - because they have traditionally always been that way. New series Who uses pre-title sequences because "that's what everyone else is doing." Another executive stunt to avoid disapproval from the average channel surfers.

Well said ... the often intrusive use of pop music is there for the same reason I think. It's a way for the series to show how thoroughly 'modern' it is!

The music space adventures used to available on C.D.i'm not sure if it still is.the c.d is called music from the tenth planet,which was the first story it was used on.

I don't think this episode is available anymore. I can't find it on DVD. Might be one of the lost epis.

The video was taken from the VHS release. The DVD comes out later this year in region 2.
