thank you for making this video. It is a really good example of why good people need to be armed. I will suggest this video to be viewed by my friends. Keep up the great work and be safe.
Virginia Tech shootings happened today, the world today doesn't deserve my trust. Im getting my concealed carry. Ill protect myself and my loved ones, and those of you that are against concealed carry, if you're around I would try to protect you too. Just hope if something ever happens to you or yours that you have someone like me around.
I have nothing against concealed carry and know that it often saves lives. But I think people forget other factors such as how much training it takes to be able to calm your nerves or simply the luck involved in being able to recognize you are being attacked fast enough to use a weapon...
The recordings are honestly absolutely chilling and bring a sick feeling to my stomach. It disgusts me that shit like that happens in this world. Its a shame we need to defend ourselves like the lucky few have been able to do. I refuse to fall victim to a random attack. Do I live in a good area? Yes...does that mean nothing bad is ever going to happen..Hell no! But what bums me out is I can only open carry until Im 21. Yes i can still have my firearm, but the element of surprise would be nice...
@Bassguy17 While I agree with citizens having the right to bear arms, I do NOT agree with this. I think everyone should at least have a basic safety/shooting course and be able to pass certain qualifications. Morons with guns is going to be the downfall of us responsible gun carriers.
@TheL4dgamer I hear ya. I'm just getting into pistols and revolvers and wish there was a course offered to further my training and others that apply for their CCW permit. I've been learning techniques from a very experienced friend of mine who shoots nearly every day.
What this guy doesn't tell you is that if you actually use a gun to defend yourself you will be arrested, jailed, and probably prosecuted for homicide - even if you were justified. While you may eventually win in court you will go bankrupt paying a lawyer, lose your job, and lose your home. If the person you shoot doesn't die then he will sue you, if he dies then the family will sue you.
By the time the legal system gets done destroying your life you'll wish you had taken the bullet yourself.
That's an old stupid saying - I would rather not be tried at all, nor go to prison, nor be killed. You have to be smarter about your self defense and give it more thought than most people do.
@CaneFu Yes, because you'll always be given that choice. If some crazed robber hopped up on PCP or something wanted to kill you, all you have to do is simply tell him, "hey man, I don't want to be tried or killed, so go away." Then, the defeated murderer will drop his head and run away.
"If some crazed robber hopped on on PCP or something wanted to kill you"
You sound like a typical paranoid white boy scared of the boogeyman and have no idea what you are talking about. I don't carry a gun in public, have hung out in "bad neighborhoods' for many years for various reasons, and have never even remotely been in any danger. Staying alert to avoid dangerous situations, and staying physically fit will do a much better job of protecting you than any gun will.
@CaneFu You sound like the typical criminal yourself, so of course you don't have to worry about other criminals. You're the guy they're buying their drugs from. I have reason to be paranoid. My job makes me wear a bullet proof vest over my uniform and carry a gun anytime I've off the property while on duty. Many people hate me and want to cause me harm, simply because of what I do for a living.
I am a retired police officer you boob and DON'T feel the need to carry anymore. Most cops I knew were more of a danger to the public than any drug user was. People on drugs aren't usually armed because they immediately trade any weapon they acquire for drugs - and that's a fact.
@CaneFu I don't have to make an argument. It's my right to carry a gun and I will. If you choose not to, I don't see why you're so concerned with it in the first place. I'm here because I'm a legal handgun carrier and I like to hear laws, stories, and other things about legal carry. It's interesting to me. If you're so against it, then why are you bothering to watch videos about it? Face it, you have nothing better to do but go post your negative opinions around youtube in hopes someone cares.
@CaneFu I'm not IGNORING them. I understand them perfectly. I know I will be tied up in lawsuits and legal matter for years. Point is, the only way I would ever use my gun, would be if I was in danger of being killed. Therefore, I'd much rather be alive and fight my battle in court, than be dead. I have too much to live for and dont' want it to end from something that could have been prevented. Same goes for my wife and daughter, if keeping them safe means taking another's life, I'll do it.
"I know I will be tied up in lawsuits and legal matters for years"
NO, you'll probably end up in prison for the rest of your life, your wife will lose the home paying a lawyer, and your daughter will grow up without her father....I would hardly call that defending your family and keeping them safe. Until prosecutors quit going after innocent people, carrying a gun to defend yourself has too many negatives.
@CaneFu I'd gladly go to prison and give up my life to ensure they live. However, losing the house to paying for a lawyer? Bro, I make $85,000 a year. If a lawyer can't save me with less than $50,000, then I'm a lost cause anyways.
NO, you won't be making anything per year after being arrested as you will be sitting in jail with a $million dollar bond for murder & lose your job. Your wife will quickly exhaust the savings for living expenses & legal fees & that still won't be enough to pay a defense attorney - try a half-million or more to defend a murder case. Lawyers are the most expensive people on earth. AGAIN, losing your home & leaving your family destitute is poor defense.
@CaneFu I never said I would. I said I currently make $85,000 a year, which I do. I've built up plenty of money. It's not an object. Like I said, I would probably be a lost cause anyways. Who's to say I wouldn't just give up and go to prison? I lose my family and my life either way. However, if it was my family's life on the line, I'd much rather be in prison, so long as they can continue on with their lives.
@CaneFu Also, to add on to that last comment. Even if it had nothing to do with my family, even if I was defending my own life, I'd much rather lose my life and take the bastard with me as opposed to giving him the satisfaction of killing me.
@CaneFu So, what am I supposed to defend myself with? My hands? It can still be considered assault and it's a lot less reliable. I mean, I'm an MMA fighter on the side, but that's not going to help so much against a guy with a crowbar or knife.
I never said the laws were correct or just, I am just the messenger. I work in the legal system and have seen several well-intentioned defensive shooters go to prison. Just be advised that if you cannot think of a better defense and use a gun then your life will be over as you know it. While your family may be alive after you defend them with a firearm, they will still be destroyed in the long run by your incarceration as well as being devastated financially.
Not true. If the use of a firearm is justified you won't be arrested. My brother had to kill a man last year, the police took his statement and that was the end of the story.
Stop making up shit, there are countless cases each year of people defending themselves with a gun and not being arrested. Read "The Armed Citizen" in American Rifleman.
Even if true, are you suggesting it's better to DIE rather than defend yourself?
You are the one just making up stories - an arrest is guaranteed any time one commits a homicide while an investigation is conducted to determine if it was murder or justifiable homicide. You have no idea what you are talking about.
Apparently you are too stupid to use google, so I'll explain it to you:
Go to google. Type in The Armed Citizen. Look at the hundreds of stories of people using firearms in self defense who didn't get arrested because the shooting was justied. Then go fuck yourself in the face.
Try actually reading some of these stories and you'll see that many of these people never shot anyone but simply scared attackers away with a gun. Also, many of those that did shoot were arrested and had to go through the court process. Also, for every story like these, there at many more of people that went to prison for self defense shootings. You name calling and insults only confirm that you are of very low intellect and unable to comprehend what I have posted.
@CaneFu Alabama,Alaska,Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah,Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming all have Castle Doctrine which grants immunity from lawsuits/prosecution if death is ruled Justifiable homicide.Would you rather be judge by 12 or carried by 6?
Sorry pal, I live in Illinois and we do NOT have a castle doctrine. Would I rather be judged by 12 or carried by 6? NEITHER and that is the point that I have been making. One needs to work just as hard at protecting them-self from the law as they do a home invader and 99% of people here are not thinking about doing that.
@CaneFu That's why people need to practice what to do after the shooting, stopping the threat is only half the battle. Calling the police and saying the right things goes a long way in the long run
@marksixteensixteen In my state of Texas, you can do the 1 day 11 hour class or the 2 day 5 hour class. But in that class, you go thru the laws, the paperwork, get fingerprinted, get your photo taken, and take the official test at the end, oh yeah, and qualify in shooting. And also youstill have to submit your paperwork to the state for consideration to be licensed. But then again most people where I'm at all do the research and practice routinely before and after getting their CCW/CHL permits.
The problem is most people don't know this is while the police have the legal duty and obligation to protect the public at large, The U.S. Appellate Court Ruled and was later affirmed by the late Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court William Reinquist ( Warren V D.C. )
Where I live I find the CCW avoids a lot of hassle just transporting guns -just strap it on or throw on the seat and go. -None of this take them apart and lock them up nonsense. I can go shooting or to a gun show without the pointless feel-goodness exercises in "public safety". This *alone* is worth the price of permit. Saving my life someday might be a nice bonus.
While I approve of this video I was unable to find anything in the second amendment that requires me to get permission from the Govt. to defend myself. I understand that in some States Open Carry without a "permission slip" is a crime, but I believe in the right to defend myself, and family uninfringed.
It doesn't matter what you think is right, you need to deal with the realities of what the legal system will do to you if you shoot someone. There are many people serving time in prison right now that believed they were justified in using deadly force to defend their home, their family, and their life. Ironically, after the legal system got done with them they lost their home, their family, and their life as they knew it. Count on being arrested and prosecuted if you shoot.
@CaneFu This is completely dependent on where you live. If you choose to live in a state where the criminal is given more consideration that the victim, then yes, it your own damn fault.
You're completely wrong and I hope you never find out the hard way just how wrong you are. You will have to go through the legal process no matter what state you live in and it will be incredibly expensive, stressful, and time consuming. If your shoot is proven to be legally justified, your lawyer is good and you pay him enough money you might get out of going to prison but you'll still feel like you lost 10 years off your life.
I Utah it took me 4 months to get my CFP. I was told it would be 6 months. If you can pass the FBI background then why not go for it. Guns save lifes. You cant have a cop with you 24/7 it is your resposbilty to do what you can to save your self. Cops cant do it all.
Yeah, but Mr. Barker's too big to really conceal, and a Sig like that costs at least a grand. I'd prefer a small revolver, say a .38 loaded with Hydroshocks. That's what hubby recommends, and he knows his guns. We live in one of the only two states that still don't have concealed carry, and that may change soon. Open carry is legal here, although it gets challenged a lot, but I'd really not rather carry a pistol-ay on my hip, you know?
Mr. Surgenor says carrying concealed doesn't mean you have to carry your gun everytime you leave the house. I disagree, it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it,
I don't put MY life in anyone else's hands. It's MY life, and MY life to defend. If someone is attacking me, I don't have time to order by delivery, a man with a gun who will arrive in a few minutes after I'm done talking with the person on the phone. Chances are I won't even have a chance to be on the phone. I'll cut out the middle man and take care of the split-second situation myself. It is, after all, a matter of life and death.
@ThePappy61 Many places I think. I'm in the process of doing the same and I went to a gun shop and they gave me a buisness card for an instructor. Supposedly I'm to meet at a Honda dealership and go from there.lol But definately go to your local gun store and they'll tell you everything.
@ThePappy61 It depends where you live. Here in Washington, I just went to my local police department and applied there. There's a thorough application to fill out, and an FBI background check. If it comes back clean, you get your license. More and more states are allowing CC licenses to be issued. Washington is a "shall issue" state, meaning, if you are clean (your record), they have to issue you the license.
@ThePappy61 You'll be glad you did!! I hope you never have to shoot anyone. Better safe than sorry. It's better to have a gun and NOT need it than to need it and not have it. Stay safe.
A citizen who shirks his duty to contribute to the security of his community is little better than the criminal who threatens it. Please get your CCW and make it safer for all. Mr5point56 and fam :)
fucking bastard, murder an old lady. come to my house pussy. me and my girl are both martial artist and we've got weapons galore (all legal of course).
@Hobson-for police to make an arrest there has to Probable Cause. If we just arrested people said someone else did something wrong to them....we would be constantly taking innocent folks to jail.
Law abiding citizens are not protected from violent crime by police. The only way to protect people from violent crime is to allow them to protect themselves with conceal carry. Most police don't even consider crime a crime unless they personally see the criminal act. Prosecutors are worried about not being able to prove someone did something unless seen by police. This two part problem leaves citizens at the mercy of criminals who do not worry about gun laws, the gun law is their friend.
In Detroit criminals are arrested and let go over and over. They say they don't have the money for a trial and to keep them in prison. But if you shoot one of them in self defense they have an unlimited amount of money for a trial and to keep you in prison for life. Such a great justice system.
Woof! Hey man, try thinking out-of-the-modern-box & into the Bible. It is nuts to take a criminal & give him free room, board, & medical (w/ sodomite rape). We shud pay for that? The Law of Moses has NO prison! It has eye for eye, tooth for tooth, whipping, & restitution (+ 20 %). It has a requirement of 2 or 3 witnesses. It has no voir dire tortured jury selection. No 9 month jailing w/out trial while prep for trial takes place. It has city-confinement for manslaughter.
I have never seen a public shooting or a crime involving a gun in all my long life. So it might seem paranoid to carry a gun everywhere. But since gun-crimes do occur, it seems reasonable to do the concealed carry. But does it make sense to carry a gun & not wear a bullet-proof vest? U wud seem paranoid to many. But why wud it seem paranoid to wear a vest & not paranoid to carry a gun?
Watch a Pre-January 8th copy of Inception. Listen closely when the actors say imagine, reality, and safe, or point pistols. You'll hear the words, Loughner, offin' her, part of the word Giffords, and much more. Some say they hear, do it.
I remember seeing signs in DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES offices once upon a time stating that driving was a PRIVILEGE not a RIGHT so it would seem to me that something that is considered a RIGHT not a PRIVILEGE would not require a permit however, that's not to say there shouldn't be some level of expectations concerning age, training, criminal and psychiatric,etc.
In Delaware OPEN CARRY is LEGAL but very few people do it because they either don't know that it's legal or they would rather not deal with the funny looks and the calls to Police by people when they see you with a gun on your side. Now if you decide to get a CCW there are certain requirements such as a newspaper ad announcing your intention to get a CCW as well as 5 recommendations from people in the community , fees and training requirements and the judge MAY issue or MAY NOT.
@helokero In Kentucky, we're Open Carry (OC) legal as well. The only requirement for OC here is that you can legally own a firearm. As for Concealed Carry (CC), we have an age requirement (21) as well as a class and range requirements. After that, it you're researched and if you're clean, you'll CDWL is issued. Delaware needs to change there laws in respect to having to place an ad in the papers & having to have 5 recommendations, that's an invasion of your Rights!
I totally agree with the Detective in this video except I feel that NO PERMIT SHOULD BE REQUIRED ( IN ALL 50 STATES ) TO CARRY CONCEALED IF YOU ARE A LAW ABIDING, SANE, AMERICAN ADULT...PERIOD!!! I think you should take training with the weapon you will be carrying and prepare yourself however, you should not need a permit for something that's supposed to be a right.
@helokero People who have committed misdemeanor aggravated assault or any type of felony at least here in the state of Texas, can't obtain a CHL (concealed handgun license). I think it is perfectly suitable for a system to be establish to make sure that people who do carry are law abiding citizens. Announcing to a law enforcement officer, with your hands in sight, stating that you have a CHL & that you are armed is slight reassurance to the officer that your most likely not a threat.
@helokero I generally agree with you on this but for the time being, we have to deal with the hand that's been dealt us. What I mean is that with states like Utah, Arizona, & Vermont doing away with CDWL requirement and just handling it like open carry (only legal requirement being that you can legally own a firearm), it will show that there's really no need for CDWL's, hopefully. And in time with more and more states getting rid of CDWL's then perhaps we can get rid of them all.
I would like to see every gun melted into slag and made into toys for kids, and medical equipment for those who need it. Problem is, the bad guys won't let us. They insist on killing us, our families, our friends and our other loved ones. Once they decide to leave us to alone to live in peace, I will be all too willing to set my weapon aside and try to forget the bad old days when I actually needed it.
my home is gun free(family "accidents"-1 muder of ex-girlfriend-1 suicide w rifle- i shotgun in 10 yo lil sisters legs (she jumped off bridge at 36yo)- my father sleeps w rifle under his bed- & if we disagree w him on anything- he goes gets it -cleans it & waves it in our face "accidently"-the daughters & my mom dont each have a gun like the sons/fater does- imagine if we did -WW 3-whoa-ok i do have a crossbow w razor arrow-not concealed but silent-lol
Always have that weapon loaded and ready...if you are alone...and without protection from criminal behavior. Rather be indicted for murder..then be murdered...
....there are plenty of good attorneys that can get you off...on self defense....
@marypoppins2009 my home is gun free(family "accidents"-1 muder of ex-girlfriend-1 suicide w rifle- i shotgun in 10 yo lil sisters legs (she jumped off bridge at 36yo)- my father sleeps w rifle under his bed- & if we disagree w him on anything- he goes gets it -cleans it & waves it in our face "accidently"-the daughters & my mom dont each have a gun like the sons/fater does- imagine if we did WW 3!-whoa-ok i do have a crossbow w razor arrow-not concealed but silent-lol
@kennhiser Actually the scary thing is that up until the supreme court did something about it Chicago and DC were areas where you couldn't carry firearms. It was even illegal to have a Handgun in you HOME.
But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
It dosen't matter if your small, big, old or young guns are ment to level the playing field and give the tactical advantage to the user. Guns are also a tool and guns don't kill people people kill with guns, knives, sticks and stones. If you have a gun and I have a gun that means you can't deal with me by force you must perswade me because i have the means to equal your force. Same thing with bad guys! I'm all for guns because eventually crime rates will drop with the rising bad guy body count
There was a long term survey about the intelligence of "liberals" and conservative" people in the states which was recently released. (They asked 15.000 young people)
The outcoming was, that conservative thinking people have a lower IQ then liberals by about 10 points. After reading your last statement this sounds quite reasonable. Ignorance is the weapon of choice of weak minded people. I just can feel sorry for you and hope you don't get shot or shoot yourself accidently.
I like how he says"most states passed concealed carry laws that allow law abiding citizens to carry a firearm" I THOUGHT THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES ALREADY GAVE US THAT RIGHT! 2nd Amendment to be specific. CCW Permits are only Tax to "allow" you to exercise that RIGHT! We should not need permits! Maybe thats why New Hampshire doesn't have one and Montana is thinking the same way now. all states should follow!!!
You can't rely on police to save you...all they do is clean up the mess. Most local cops have a low standard and only use there fire arm once a year. Buy a good hand gun you are comfortable with train your ass off and study combat mind set....train until you get good...then train until failure...keep training and become one with your gun. put a light source on your gun and shoot the ammo that you keep in your gun often. Keep it clean and pray you never have to use it.
i have seen, and heard my fair sare of horror movies, and 911 calls. im a pretty de-sensitized individual. this 911 call however, is the most horid terror that i have heard. words could not describe the horror, fear, anger, and sadness going through my mind. very few things in this cruel world can bring me to tears, and this is one of them.
Day I turned 21, I filled out the papers for my Glock and registered for my concealment permit. Wednesday I become the proud owner of a Desert Eagle 50ae, FEAR ME
Oh, like how the criminals familiarize themselves, learn to shoot, be proficient, and know the laws of the state, too? You HAVE to be kidding. Great example of "arm-chair" opinion without "real-world" pragmatism.
Try living in New Zealand. If you own a firearm just for hunting or sports (self defense with firearms is illegal) most people who are brainwashed by the media look at you funny and ask you with a shocked look on their faces why you would even want to own such and icky thing as a gun? As for self defense forget even hitting back with you fists. The Political Correctness favours a dead victim so they can put the ciminal in jail for 7 years and then bail him to commit another murder. Not kidding.
Good advice and i am 100% with you!!! The problem is that i live in Wisconsin, one of the two liberal states that still don't have concealed carry. Things are going to change here soon, thanks to Scott Walker. Great Video!!!!!
I understand the point of this shocking opening to your video while others only seem to find disgust in the sensationalism We can't expect the police to be there a moments notice. Unfortunately, when an attack does occur, the police, much to their frustration, are only left with determining what happeded after the fact. I certainly appreciate the viewpoint of a longtime police officer. We all must take the responsibility to protect ourselves.
I was a former member on a Nuclear Weapons Tactical Security Team. Also served on Nuke Subs in the U.S. Navy. Today I work as an armed security guard. When I go to work of course I am armed, but when I am off and with my family I am armed too. When I got my security licenses, I also got my concealed carry permit. I feel much more secure knowing that I have leveled the playing field.
Let me first of all say that I am not a "fucking gun hating liberal idiot." I have never voted for a democrat and I own several firearms. I'm fortunate enough to live in a State which allows for concealed carry and take that right as seriously as the 2nd Amendment. But I have no stomach for demagoguery such as this. Our side doesn't need to resort to this crass and cynical emotionalism; we are perfectly capable of making a clear and persuasive case with logic and reason. This is shameful.
I don't understand why everyone having a gun will make it more safe. And that whole "noone will mess with anyone because they all have guns" argument is so overplayed and irrelevant.
@SoTiredSoBored Because one of the reasons people are killed is because they are unarmed. Giving people a gun gives them a safety measure, something they can count on when things go horribly wrong. Making gun attainment easier for people without prior jail time allows fear to be spread through the criminals. Would you rob someone knowing it may be YOUR life on the line?
@MagicButterStick Do you really think everyone's going to be mentally capable of having a gun? Some elderly people pass through moments of dementia and become confused and possibly violent. And all the accidents that happen when guns are not carefully locked away in a family household?
@SoTiredSoBored No not everybody is mentally capable of having a gun. But if a person is having dementia they should not be living unsupervised in the first place.
@SoTiredSoBored "Some elderly people pass through moments of dementia and become confused and possibly violent" So where are all these elderly loonies shooting up the place? Don't you think if it was as you say we would see it every night on the liberal media news? NY Mayor Bloomberg would have billboards all over the county with digital number readouts if that were true. Not to mention these "elderly people" sill have diver's licenses don't they?
@SoTiredSoBored Then i hope you live next door to a police station. Average responce time for a police officer to respond is 15 minute to 30 minutes if they even show up now.Buy time they show up you are hurt or dead. Cops are minutes away when seconds count.
Or you can look at a country where the citizens are banned from owning and carrying guns.... Just south of your border is Mexico...what a safe heaven it is, isnt it? Well at least for the criminals.
@john91722 I was walking and seen a sign on the door of someones home the gun with the red line through it saying no guns. I just laughed and walked by.
@john91722 I was walking and seen a sign on the door of someones home the gun with the red line through it saying no guns. I just laughed and walked by.
@john91722 Funny because Cheney recently came out and said he is for gun control but you don't see the republicans talking about this.. Gotta love partisan politics.
The first and the last audio clip seems to be in a house. I don't think concealed carry permit is necessary when used in a private property...i.e your own house
Thats right! That is what that guy gets! He did warn him he had a gun! And now he got shot and died because of his stupidity! he kept trying get in the house after he warned him and warned him! so its not his fault he had to defend his home! anyone would do the fucking same!! so fuck all you gun hating faggets!!!!!
I say again, NO woman was ever raped while pointing a .45 at the perp. liberals were in the special ed classes. where else would they get their reasoning
In this video he says that you don't have to take your gun out with you everywhere you go. OH YES YOU DO! you never know when you're going to need it.
@WizardKing78 no like amusement parks, sports stadiums and cruise ships and what not, and OF COURSE AIRPLANES.. you will be an idiot not to know that one lol.
You obviously are using your anti gun emotions over common sense. Anyone who has common sense and who has properly trained with a firearm knows that you can't just shoot a guy cause of how he looks. Yeah, I heard about that guy who killed 2 criminals, and seemingly got away with it. No comment there. Sometimes you don't have the luxury of checking your options when faced with danger. If a crook has you cornered in a McDonald's and starts opening fire, there is no negotiations, no other options.
We've go to stop watching news stories about honest, hard working innocent people getting mugged, attacked, raped, & killed in the everyday news media.
We NEED to start seeing stories about criminals getting shot, and even killed for the crimes they are committing. Putting them in jail only makes them wait a few years before they come out & do it again!
Wake up you fucking gun hating liberal idiots ! The only way to permanently stop a violent criminal is with deadly and decisive force !
@centurion205 I agree. It's not so much the fact that everybody needs to shoot everybody but criminals have no fear what so ever. They need to be wondering, "What if." Besides I hear the argument all the time that a gun does not provide safety but every criminal will have one and so should you.
@TDIAWD I know a gun in the home will not always garuntee safety, but it will sure help even up the odds. Criminals in prisons have repeatedly stated that they don't fear laws, politicians, or cops. The one thing that makes them afraid is knowing that there might be a homeowner who has a gun and is not afraid to kill them if they break into their homes. The one thing criminals truely fear, other than getting caught committing a crime is the fear of being hurt or killed in committing that crime.
This is a funny quote from my grandpa: "We wouldn't have to have jail if I was in charge. I woulda' killed the constant killers, rapists, and gangbangers the second they steped in it for the second time."
And who actually is a robbing - raping - and violent person? The 1000s of people who get in jail because of incompetent police officers and judges and lying peoples? Even one killed innocent man/women in jail is one too much!
The problem you got is BECAUSE everyone can get weapon that easy, more weapons, more dead people. If you deny this good Sir, you are the idiot, period!
@Grave0815 You have obvously never done a survey of the prison system. You're problem is you trust too much in a law enforcement system that you believe will magically come to your rescue if you make it to the phone in time when someone breaks into your home. You could outlaw every gun the U.S. today, and if every law abiding person turned in their gun, the criminals would still get their guns and it would be open season on the citizens of the United States, You my friend are the liberal idiot !
I want to get one of those small guns
craqqer 3 weeks ago
the start of the video has absolutely nothing to do with concealed carry... She did not had a weapon AT HOME !
When you are at home, you have to reason to concealed it in particular if someone if menacing you

thank you for making this video. It is a really good example of why good people need to be armed. I will suggest this video to be viewed by my friends. Keep up the great work and be safe.

Where I'm from you don't even need to take a course. $15 and three weeks later you have your permit in the mail :D
Bassguy17 3 months ago
@Bassguy17 While I agree with citizens having the right to bear arms, I do NOT agree with this. I think everyone should at least have a basic safety/shooting course and be able to pass certain qualifications. Morons with guns is going to be the downfall of us responsible gun carriers.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer I hear ya. I'm just getting into pistols and revolvers and wish there was a course offered to further my training and others that apply for their CCW permit. I've been learning techniques from a very experienced friend of mine who shoots nearly every day.
Bassguy17 2 months ago
What this guy doesn't tell you is that if you actually use a gun to defend yourself you will be arrested, jailed, and probably prosecuted for homicide - even if you were justified. While you may eventually win in court you will go bankrupt paying a lawyer, lose your job, and lose your home. If the person you shoot doesn't die then he will sue you, if he dies then the family will sue you.
By the time the legal system gets done destroying your life you'll wish you had taken the bullet yourself.

@CaneFu While most of what you say is true, the old saying "I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6" fits appropriately here. =]
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer
That's an old stupid saying - I would rather not be tried at all, nor go to prison, nor be killed. You have to be smarter about your self defense and give it more thought than most people do.
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu Yes, because you'll always be given that choice. If some crazed robber hopped up on PCP or something wanted to kill you, all you have to do is simply tell him, "hey man, I don't want to be tried or killed, so go away." Then, the defeated murderer will drop his head and run away.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu You sound like the typical criminal yourself, so of course you don't have to worry about other criminals. You're the guy they're buying their drugs from. I have reason to be paranoid. My job makes me wear a bullet proof vest over my uniform and carry a gun anytime I've off the property while on duty. Many people hate me and want to cause me harm, simply because of what I do for a living.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer
"You sound like the typical criminal yourself"
I am a retired police officer you boob and DON'T feel the need to carry anymore. Most cops I knew were more of a danger to the public than any drug user was. People on drugs aren't usually armed because they immediately trade any weapon they acquire for drugs - and that's a fact.
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu You should go ahead and retire at life as well. You're a moron.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer
I'm not the moron here, you are because you don't know how to make an intelligent argument for concealed carry.
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu I don't have to make an argument. It's my right to carry a gun and I will. If you choose not to, I don't see why you're so concerned with it in the first place. I'm here because I'm a legal handgun carrier and I like to hear laws, stories, and other things about legal carry. It's interesting to me. If you're so against it, then why are you bothering to watch videos about it? Face it, you have nothing better to do but go post your negative opinions around youtube in hopes someone cares.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer
You are completely ignoring the legal repercussions if you ever do fire your gun in self defense just as the guy in this video is.
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu I'm not IGNORING them. I understand them perfectly. I know I will be tied up in lawsuits and legal matter for years. Point is, the only way I would ever use my gun, would be if I was in danger of being killed. Therefore, I'd much rather be alive and fight my battle in court, than be dead. I have too much to live for and dont' want it to end from something that could have been prevented. Same goes for my wife and daughter, if keeping them safe means taking another's life, I'll do it.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu I'd gladly go to prison and give up my life to ensure they live. However, losing the house to paying for a lawyer? Bro, I make $85,000 a year. If a lawyer can't save me with less than $50,000, then I'm a lost cause anyways.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer
"I make $85,000 a year"
NO, you won't be making anything per year after being arrested as you will be sitting in jail with a $million dollar bond for murder & lose your job. Your wife will quickly exhaust the savings for living expenses & legal fees & that still won't be enough to pay a defense attorney - try a half-million or more to defend a murder case. Lawyers are the most expensive people on earth. AGAIN, losing your home & leaving your family destitute is poor defense.
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu I never said I would. I said I currently make $85,000 a year, which I do. I've built up plenty of money. It's not an object. Like I said, I would probably be a lost cause anyways. Who's to say I wouldn't just give up and go to prison? I lose my family and my life either way. However, if it was my family's life on the line, I'd much rather be in prison, so long as they can continue on with their lives.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@CaneFu Also, to add on to that last comment. Even if it had nothing to do with my family, even if I was defending my own life, I'd much rather lose my life and take the bastard with me as opposed to giving him the satisfaction of killing me.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer
You simply don't comprehend the reality of what I am talking about and your comments don't change it - I give up.
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu So, what am I supposed to defend myself with? My hands? It can still be considered assault and it's a lot less reliable. I mean, I'm an MMA fighter on the side, but that's not going to help so much against a guy with a crowbar or knife.
TheL4dgamer 2 months ago
@TheL4dgamer
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu
Blahblobify 2 months ago
@Blahblobify
You are the one just making up stories - an arrest is guaranteed any time one commits a homicide while an investigation is conducted to determine if it was murder or justifiable homicide. You have no idea what you are talking about.
CaneFu 2 months ago
@CaneFu
Apparently you are too stupid to use google, so I'll explain it to you:
Go to google. Type in The Armed Citizen. Look at the hundreds of stories of people using firearms in self defense who didn't get arrested because the shooting was justied. Then go fuck yourself in the face.
Blahblobify 2 months ago
@Blahblobify

I can go shooting or to a gun show without the pointless feel-goodness exercises in "public safety". This *alone* is worth the price of permit. Saving my life someday might be a nice bonus.

GuerrillaLawfare 7 months ago
@GuerrillaLawfare
CaneFu 3 months ago
@CaneFu This is completely dependent on where you live. If you choose to live in a state where the criminal is given more consideration that the victim, then yes, it your own damn fault.

You're completely wrong and I hope you never find out the hard way just how wrong you are. You will have to go through the legal process no matter what state you live in and it will be incredibly expensive, stressful, and time consuming. If your shoot is proven to be legally justified, your lawyer is good and you pay him enough money you might get out of going to prison but you'll still feel like you lost 10 years off your life.

Chances are I won't even have a chance to be on the phone. I'll cut out the middle man and take care of the split-second situation myself. It is, after all, a matter of life and death.

@ThePappy61 It depends where you live. Here in Washington, I just went to my local police department and applied there. There's a thorough application to fill out, and an FBI background check. If it comes back clean, you get your license. More and more states are allowing CC licenses to be issued. Washington is a "shall issue" state, meaning, if you are clean (your record), they have to issue you the license.

sauer800 9 months ago
Law abiding citizens are not protected from violent crime by police. The only way to protect people from violent crime is to allow them to protect themselves with conceal carry. Most police don't even consider crime a crime unless they personally see the criminal act. Prosecutors are worried about not being able to prove someone did something unless seen by police. This two part problem leaves citizens at the mercy of criminals who do not worry about gun laws, the gun law is their friend.
RandyHobson777 9 months ago
In Detroit criminals are arrested and let go over and over. They say they don't have the money for a trial and to keep them in prison. But if you shoot one of them in self defense they have an unlimited amount of money for a trial and to keep you in prison for life. Such a great justice system.

Now if you decide to get a CCW there are certain requirements such as a newspaper ad announcing your intention to get a CCW as well as 5 recommendations from people in the community , fees and training requirements and the judge MAY issue or MAY NOT.
helokero 9 months ago
@helokero In Kentucky, we're Open Carry (OC) legal as well. The only requirement for OC here is that you can legally own a firearm. As for Concealed Carry (CC), we have an age requirement (21) as well as a class and range requirements. After that, it you're researched and if you're clean, you'll CDWL is issued. Delaware needs to change there laws in respect to having to place an ad in the papers & having to have 5 recommendations, that's an invasion of your Rights!
TangoDown229 9 months ago
I totally agree with the Detective in this video except I feel that NO PERMIT SHOULD BE REQUIRED ( IN ALL 50 STATES ) TO CARRY CONCEALED IF YOU ARE A LAW ABIDING, SANE, AMERICAN ADULT...PERIOD!!! I think you should take training with the weapon you will be carrying and prepare yourself however, you should not need a permit for something that's supposed to be a right.
helokero 10 months ago
@helokero People who have committed misdemeanor aggravated assault or any type of felony at least here in the state of Texas, can't obtain a CHL (concealed handgun license). I think it is perfectly suitable for a system to be establish to make sure that people who do carry are law abiding citizens. Announcing to a law enforcement officer, with your hands in sight, stating that you have a CHL & that you are armed is slight reassurance to the officer that your most likely not a threat.

helokero 10 months ago
@helokero I generally agree with you on this but for the time being, we have to deal with the hand that's been dealt us. What I mean is that with states like Utah, Arizona, & Vermont doing away with CDWL requirement and just handling it like open carry (only legal requirement being that you can legally own a firearm), it will show that there's really no need for CDWL's, hopefully. And in time with more and more states getting rid of CDWL's then perhaps we can get rid of them all.

Guns are also a tool and guns don't kill people people kill with guns, knives, sticks and stones. The outcoming was, that conservative thinking people have a lower IQ then liberals by about 10 points. After reading your last statement this sounds quite reasonable. Buy a good hand gun you are comfortable with train your ass off and study combat mind set....train until you get good...then train until failure...keep training and become one with your gun. put a light source on your gun and shoot the ammo that you keep in your gun often. Keep it clean and pray you never have to use it.

Listen to this 911 call (watch?v=e4Z_2oU9B2o), and notice how different the situation is when the lady has a firearm.
blanknot 11 months ago 2
Makes me sick. Poor lady...if only she had a 12 gauge to give the attacker a proper greeting...
RichfromNH 11 months ago

Great Video!!!!!
kro7991 11 months ago

I don't know about you but of the two 911 calls I would rather be the folks in the 2nd call that had the gun and were able to deffend themself.

I don't understand why everyone having a gun will make it more safe. And that whole "noone will mess with anyone because they all have guns" argument is so overplayed and irrelevant.
SoTiredSoBored 1 year ago
@SoTiredSoBored Because one of the reasons people are killed is because they are unarmed. Giving people a gun gives them a safety measure, something they can count on when things go horribly wrong. Making gun attainment easier for people without prior jail time allows fear to be spread through the criminals. Would you rob someone knowing it may be YOUR life on the line?
MagicButterStick 1 year ago
@MagicButterStick Do you really think everyone's going to be mentally capable of having a gun? Some elderly people pass through moments of dementia and become confused and possibly violent. And all the accidents that happen when guns are not carefully locked away in a family household?
SoTiredSoBored 1 year ago
@SoTiredSoBored No not everybody is mentally capable of having a gun. But if a person is having dementia they should not be living unsupervised in the first place.
jokerman213 1 year ago
@SoTiredSoBored "Some elderly people pass through moments of dementia and become confused and possibly violent" So where are all these elderly loonies shooting up the place? Don't you think if it was as you say we would see it every night on the liberal media news? NY Mayor Bloomberg would have billboards all over the county with digital number readouts if that were true. Not to mention these "elderly people" sill have diver's licenses don't they?
ClassicFIHD 11 months ago
@SoTiredSoBored Then i hope you live next door to a police station. Average responce time for a police officer to respond is 15 minute to 30 minutes if they even show up now.Buy time they show up you are hurt or dead. Cops are minutes away when seconds count.
jokerman213 1 year ago
@SoTiredSoBored
Or you can look at a country where the citizens are banned from owning and carrying guns.... Just south of your border is Mexico...what a safe heaven it is, isnt it? Well at least for the criminals.

I am asking all anti-gun liberals to put a sign in front of their home announcing that their home is a gun free zone.

@john91722 Well, if i were going to rob a house, I think I'd probably go for a house that is morally opposed to protecting itself. Free loot, eh?

@john91722 I was walking and seen a sign on the door of someones home the gun with the red line through it saying no guns. I just laughed and walked by.

@john91722 Funny because Cheney recently came out and said he is for gun control but you don't see the republicans talking about this.. Gotta love partisan politics.

@NosoCOMINSOON All Politicians get nervous when one of them gets shot and will opt for supposed safety over freedom every time.
Besides it's the cancer drugs talking.

We owe it to the sheeple to carry concealed. They don't understand it and will speak out against it.....until the wolf strikes.

The first and the last audio clip seems to be in a house. I don't think concealed carry permit is necessary when used in a private property...i.e your own house
mayavania 1 year ago
@mayavania - If good, decent people are being killed in their very own homes, imagine how much more dangerous it is out on the streets.
JohnQuincyAdams1 1 year ago
Thats right! That is what that guy gets! He did warn him he had a gun! And now he got shot and died because of his stupidity! he kept trying get in the house after he warned him and warned him! so its not his fault he had to defend his home! anyone would do the fucking same!! so fuck all you gun hating faggets!!!!!
grandamracer23 1 year ago
I agree with this guy except that you do need to carry every day or you'll not have it when you need it .

@WizardKing78 and yes like places were people are just scared of guns!
grandamracer23 1 year ago
@grandamracer23 You'd think that those are exactly the sort of places that should allow law-abiding citizens to carry concealed.
Q. How long would a potential gunman last if several people in the library were armed?
A. Not long.
WizardKing78 1 year ago
You obviously are using your anti gun emotions over common sense. Anyone who has common sense and who has properly trained with a firearm knows that you can't just shoot a guy cause of how he looks. Yeah, I heard about that guy who killed 2 criminals, and seemingly got away with it. No comment there. Sometimes you don't have the luxury of checking your options when faced with danger. If a crook has you cornered in a McDonald's and starts opening fire, there is no negotiations, no other options.
centurion205 1 year ago
We've go to stop watching news stories about honest, hard working innocent people getting mugged, attacked, raped, & killed in the everyday news media.
We NEED to start seeing stories about criminals getting shot, and even killed for the crimes they are committing. Putting them in jail only makes them wait a few years before they come out & do it again!
Wake up you fucking gun hating liberal idiots ! The only way to permanently stop a violent criminal is with deadly and decisive force !
centurion205 1 year ago 81
@centurion205 You are fucking right on that , the motherfuckers must be killed in public to provoke scare on the population
Dpyrt 1 year ago
@centurion205 I agree. It's not so much the fact that everybody needs to shoot everybody but criminals have no fear what so ever. They need to be wondering, "What if." Besides I hear the argument all the time that a gun does not provide safety but every criminal will have one and so should you.
TDIAWD 1 year ago

Grave0815 11 months ago
@Grave0815 You have obvously never done a survey of the prison system. You're problem is you trust too much in a law enforcement system that you believe will magically come to your rescue if you make it to the phone in time when someone breaks into your home. You could outlaw every gun the U.S. today, and if every law abiding person turned in their gun, the criminals would still get their guns and it would be open season on the citizens of the United States, You my friend are the liberal idiot !
