I mean, stuff like Deicide and Vital Remains is kinda stupid in how they're just blatantly blasphemous and whatnot. I like the political and social side of anti-religion like Slayer used to do in the earlier days, i.e. South Of Heaven.
I wish christian metal was like it was back in 1986 with To Hell with the Devil all the way to Tourniquet Pathogenic Occular Dissostance (1984?). I could name probably 20 bands from then that were rocking the metal scene back then.
@redruner100 I love stryper and tourniquet as well. Bride, Mortification, Betrayal, the Crucified, Vengeance, Christian metal bands are around now but tend to try and mask thier christianity. Pathogenic occular dissonance was in 1992. My favorite album of thiers was Psychosurgery.
theoretically an easy way to make Christian metal is just being like metallica, some of their songs could be seen with a little christian meaning be it positive or negative. Whereas here we are associating metal with brutal music and screamo! Its still pretty easy to make REAL Trash/Heavy/Grindcore Metal Christian music, you just sing about punishment for sins or summink or how scary god's anger with gomora was. Well death and black metal is a lot harder,cause Christianity is about life isnt it?
I'll never forget the first time I heard these guys....and I thought Stryper was scary back when I was 8 years old! Mortification FLOORED ME! When I first became a Christian back in the fall of 1991, my freshman year of high school, my friend lent me a sampler cassette of bands on the Intense Records label. I'd never heard Christian thrash, death metal, or grindcore before! This was a whole new kettle of fish!
@MattHatter You became a christian in a great era of christian metal! Mortification became a band in 90. Also, I loved seventh angel. You can find em on you tube. They are a different brand of metal from these guys. The Crucified! Another great band. Different metal than this also. Maybe you never missed out on those bands, but if you did, check em out! Later.
well, I mean if we look at the big picture, any satanic band out there is just as much christian as these guys, as while Mortification are on the positive side in the christian mythology, the satanic guys are on the negative. still: both are a part of the christian religion. thus: both are Christian.

I would be glad to share with you. Also, Mortification is a Christian band. Buy one of their albums, and actually look at the words. Then you will know that is true. As for the Bible, there many examples throughout history that point to its truth.

I wish christian metal was like it was back in 1986 with To Hell with the Devil all the way to Tourniquet Pathogenic Occular Dissostance (1984?). I could name probably 20 bands from then that were rocking the metal scene back then.

theoretically an easy way to make Christian metal is just being like metallica, some of their songs could be seen with a little christian meaning be it positive or negative. Whereas here we are associating metal with brutal music and screamo! Its still pretty easy to make REAL Trash/Heavy/Grindcore Metal Christian music, you just sing about punishment for sins or summink or how scary god's anger with gomora was. Well death and black metal is a lot harder,cause Christianity is about life isnt it?

I'll never forget the first time I heard these guys....and I thought Stryper was scary back when I was 8 years old! Mortification FLOORED ME! When I first became a Christian back in the fall of 1991, my freshman year of high school, my friend lent me a sampler cassette of bands on the Intense Records label. I'd never heard Christian thrash, death metal, or grindcore before! This was a whole new kettle of fish!

man, what a fuckin' thrash. One of these days I`ve read an interview with the vocal of this band and he was complaining about people download their stuff besides buying material. This is the typical band that people think: this one I am gonna only download cause it's not that good. For me it's a masterpiece of shit. Same song for .... ..... how many decades now playing this ONE song??? Sucks so bad like a lot of extreme metal bands thta can not at all play differente than ONE fuckin'song.
