For a brief moment, during the episode "Remnants" of the animated series The Avengers: United They Stand, Beast's picture is seen hanging on the wall during a meeting of the Avengers. However, Beast is never actually seen on the show, nor is it actually mentioned he was a member of the team in the past. If a second season were to have been made, he would appear in the two-parter where the Avengers team up with the X-Men.

In order to attempt to emulate "Batman Beyond", changes were made to the Avengers franchise as the book was set in an unstated point in the future and featured the Avengers wearing elaborate armor costumes when they went into battle. That's another reason why it failed.

I'm talking about the fact that The Avengers have been around for forty-plus years and have had members such as Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Hulk, and almost every other well-known Marvel superhero, including some X-Men.

They've even been continually publishing longer than the X-Men.
