I think it's totally impressive that you went slow and got 19.xx, 17.xx, and 14.xx... wow. Your tip on going slow is what Jessica Fridrich herself suggests on her webpage.  Great tips. Thanks. P.S. My best is 16.00 (lucky), 18.63 (non-lucky), 3 of 5 is 20.88, but I overall average 22+ at best... would love to just average sub-20, or get a consistent sub-20. Thanks.

my biggest problem was my cube. I practiced a lot but couldn't average less than 18. Got a lone goose cube and I am averaging 16 my first day with it.

on T-perm i used to do the alg with the 2 corners in front face and seriously averaged like 5.5 seconds on it, then i moved the 2 corners to the left face, applying the same alg but adjusted cause of setup change and now i av about 2 seconds, thanks

hey, i average around 48 seconds right now using a version of fridrich with cross, intuitive f2l 2 look oll and 2 look pll, it uses precious few algorithms and can get you good sub 1 minute times, message me if you are interested in learning this

When doing the cross blindfolded, do you execute the moves at the same time you would if you had your eyes open? (really fast)

You will execute solving the cross much faster when you know exactly what moves to make in advance. Doing it blindfolded will prevent pausing during the cross to look what moves to make next. Executing it with your eyes closed should be equally fast as sighted execution. Good luck.

When doing pll is it best to align the colors then do pll or to do the pll then align the colors? Also, if the colors are aligned but on a side that you cant solve it unless you move it to another side then should you do a cube rotation or do a face turn.

i wouldn't suggest aligning them first for most of the PLLs...but it depends on whether its hard to connect the PLL with U U' or U2 moves. algs like N perm i tend to align first

cuz you need to use the inspection time to find the cross...which will save some time if you were to look for the pieces of the cross during the solve

haha well, i put lube on a really hot day and let it dry in the sun...i put heaps in, it drys and turns well. only works on hot days though.

nope...like a few...some coincidentally the same...but yeh...fingertricks are different...ive always thought you should go around websites to find algs...that suit you..and not learn all the algs from one person..

then use both, depending on what angle ur doing it from....in my opinion, all these people who average like sub 1 U perms, it doesnt really make that much of a difference since they dont do that fast in real solve, or they cant do consistantly. really, a 1.5sec U perm is definately good enough at any level.

some people may prefer M moves than 2gen moves..for like say U perm..so there might be some variation in the PLLs used.
