IMO AN does have some good products. That said, an awful lot of hype and even more coin. Although I have and still use products from both companies, the only one that I will likely purchase again is HG's Excelurator. Love that stuff! IME I know that I can achieve the same things for a lot less money with pretty much everything else. For me it's always been more about genetics. I have never ran complete full lines of both, but if I were going to I would have to go with the HG.
