@Blinkwing: 9 months dog is not yet fully grown (takes 1 year or more), so for me still a puppy. But I understand, that a 16 year old, would not like to be called a child.
@FinhorsesAndPinscher i have to add: scientifically a puppy becomes a young dog when he has developed all of his teeth (mostly when he is half a year old)
9 months isnt a puppy any more.
you dont call a 16 year old a child, do you?

@FinhorsesAndPinscher puppy is rather a baby.
puppies aren't independent and follow their mother. i would go so far not to call a dog a puppy when he starts to eat food instead of milk.
but you are probably having a different opinion
