This is from a movie directed by the late Jean-Pierre Ponnelle, the big director....a very old movie. Not particularly interesting for me but the voices were wonderful...
I know about de bad quality of the video Carmina Burana....But i have not a good video. Place a good link like scrap to we see a good bideo. By while, is this. Carmina Burana nos is a classical music, if you know about classical music, and you do not need look my page. If Carl Orff or Lucia Popp think the same of you, so they give them jumps.
Good afternoon Carlos but i'm not at one with you. The video and the music are poor quality. It isn't possible to appreciate the quality of the interpreters. Just as it's an insult for them and for the classical music !! You would rather to listen the version :
Deutsch Grammophon, Eugen Jochum, Gundula Janowitz, Gerhard Stolze and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau !!!

Even with the extremely poor quality of this video you can still hear the outstanding quality of her voice. A perfect rendition of this beautiful piece.
I first heard her sing this role in a studio recording of the Carmina Burana from the mid-60s (at least 15 years prior to this recording). As absolutely gorgeous as Ms. Popp is in this version, every time I hear that earlier version I confess I tear up, it is transcendentally beautiful.
I agree with marcmoissat that the Eugen Jochum still remains THE version....

It is certainly perfect in every way. But, personally i prefer less serious sopranos. This is sung with to much pride .
