  • Wunderschöne Improvisation.

    Mendelssohn-Bartholdy lässr grüßen. :-)

  • Wolfganf Seifen makes me to believe in re-incarnation ...Bach´s?

  • Professor Seifen is exceptional!!

I first heard him two years ago and I was completely amazed. And when I met him in person I was in heaven!

  • Amazing! What is improvisation? Everything starts with some reference, some model. This one uses the Finale of Mendelssohn's Sonata #1.

  • how fantastic can an improvisation get? the answer: this fantastic! perfect! and the organ amazed the hell out of me...

  • This has all the freedom, complexity and sheer romanticism of the very best of the French tradition of improvisation combined with the logic and clarity of cassical German organ style!!

Very exciting and great sound too....especially for You Tube. Thank you.

  • Whenever the form allows to much freedom, his improvisations became very soon a exuberant sound muddle. Maybe he needs a little bit more of self control or control by the musical structures. Now I am a great fan of his unique romantic like tonal language. A really great German improviser.

  • This week I heard Mr. Seifen in the Munich Frauenkirche in Germany. A really remarkable experience. He did some improvisations about chorales in german baroque style and some more free musical forms. In my opinion his exuberant creativeness sometimes needs restrictions by the musical form. His best improvisations were pieces with a strong control by the chosen musical structure.

  • Very impressive playing!

  • Yesterday I saw Professor Seifen in Bogotá, Colombia. We can only describe him as absolutley astonishing. I could not belive that someone could improvise in the fashion of Bach, or Mozart, or Liszt and of the great organists like Vierne, Widor and others.

This concert is one of the most memorable I have attended. anyone who has the opportunity to listen the art of prof. Wolfgang Seifen must do: it's an absolute miracle based on many years of study and relentless practice. He is a Treasure.

Das is ja ne Hammer Orgel da! Genial! Danke fürs reinstellen!

  • Oh ja da hast du recht. Die Orgel in der Basilika ist traumhaft. Bekomme dort derzeit Unterricht von Seifens Nachfolger. Immer wieder berauschend an diesem Koloss zu spielen.
