I´ve searched in the internet and the lyrics are totally different.

And sleepwalking past hope was released in 2007, sleeping sun was in 1999.

It was released in the 2007 but it was written some time before . I can't tell it for sure when it was written . I got the info I told you from the music company I am working for. So it is a certain information. But maybe there were created some other lyrics for this song before the releasing of Sleeping Sun of Nightwish or maybe after the success of Nightwish Ville wrote other lyrics... I can't explain what the history of the lyrics more than 10 years ago was.

Brilliant performance. You can definately tell how much of an amazing singer Ville is when he's sober.

In response to a couple of earlier comments...Ville has said that he was brought up listening to more sad, melancholy music being in Finland. That's the music that makes him happy.

I don't think it's melodramatic, but deeper than many of the new-age bands' lyrics on many levels. I admire Ville for his creativity and originality that just keeps getting better.

i'm so happy that ville is sober. almost all my male relatives suffer from alcoholism and no one has succeded to give up drinking. ville is the only person i like who could be an evidence for me that people can undergo that shit.

HIMspaz - okay? Are you kidding me???? Love Metal was WAY different, with Buried alive by love are their intro song, it was agressive. And as for deep shadows and brilliant highlights, it was softer. And Dark Light, it was more Romantic and Darker. And Venus Doom is heavier.

yeah ville said that the new album (2009) is going to be darker and heavier then any over the other's cause he is sober through making this one. hopefully it's a good move for the band. thank god he is sober though.

does anyone ever think that their albums between razorblade romance and venus doom kind of sucked? I mean, i know he was pretty much drunk throughout that time, but like a lot of songs (lyrically and sonicly) sounded eerily similar.

imagine, almost all of the songs from all or these albums touch my heart in many different ways. and thousands of other people feel the same. that means something. yeah, you're right, ville suffered from alcoholism, but still, it doesn't mean his songs are 'similar'.

I'll admit, they have a pretty wicked sound, but...the lyrics are just...eh. Maybe I've read too much literature or something, but they come across kind of melodramatic and a little cliche. I guess it's not necessarily Ville's fault but...he's not really cut out for writing. Sorry, he just kind of isn't. but then again, this my opinion at the moment, and hopefully they'll prove me wrong with the next album. who knows

what about reading, I'm into literature. mainly french and russian, though. anyway, i feel myself as a skilled reader and listener. songs shouldn't be like poems, because songs are two-channeled, - firstly, music, secondly, words, and the art of a great song-writing is to create a thrilling interplay. in my opinion, ville is a master of such interplays between lyrics, melody and singing. what i have to admit, vd-lyrics are more diverse than on preceding albums in the sense of subject matters.

ville valo has some of the best language from a born Finnish speaker to English. i guarantee he uses bigger words then most native speaking Americans. his lyrics are SO good and fit the music perfectly. he uses words that english speakers have probably never heard of before. and he has been writing songs since he was 13 (he has had some experience) he is not just cut out, but entitled to write for HIM. his lyrics capture the depth of his meaning in his songs, love.
