I can't comprehend why this is over so many peoples' heads. Just because Portnoy is a crazy set player doesn't mean he's a terrible multi-percussionist, and just because Bozzio is primarily a multi-percussionist doesn't mean that he's a thousand times better than Portnoy. This is two musical masters playing together to express emotions and create MUSIC; this isn't meant to impress empty-headed wanna-be's who just want a drum battle. If you can't respect this, go find another art form to bash.

I am a great appreciator of music. I still don't care for this style but hey it takes all kinds. I am a drummer and I appreciate how hard it is to make music(worth listening to) and I've liked portnoys drumming and technique. Never cared for bossio. Every musician knows don't knock it if you can't play it better...

Dont forget that Bozzio has played with Zappa (in his band with Colaiutta, the best) and is a master of polyrithm.

Pridgen is good and very fast but that is not sufficient to be a "GOD"

There is a lot of faster drummers in death metal (Romani Goulon) but they are not the best for being fast. Colaiutta, Weckl, Gadd and Bozzio (among others) are true GODS playing drumms for her technic, rythm, feeling and taste.
